This is a really good choice for soul food. The service is beautiful, and if you can't afford to wait a while, then you may want to grab some fast food. This food is amazing and is well worth the wait. The environment is decent, and the ambiance is relaxing. Give them a try if you enjoy soul food and I'll meet you there.

Go hungry with plenty of time to eat. Not fast food because it's all cooked fresh. But soooo good!

Customer service was horrible. They didn't open at scheduled time. Then the employees that were there just looked at us through the glass door and no one came to tell us anything. Then we were told they were only letting people in who were picking up orders. We said we were Then the woman said "Well why didn't you say that?" Then when we got inside the woman and a man in the back were screaming at and cursing each other out while 3 customers were in the store. Then the lady told me the wrong size for the food I had ordered and already put money down on. She tried to give me a smaller size after she had already told me a larger size when I ordered it. Instead of honoring what she had told me she just gave me my money back. If I had wanted my money back I would have not ordered the food in the first place. I wanted my food! Terrible customer service!

Staff is extremely nice & pleasant & the atmosphere is comfortable but the food is not it. If you can't go anywhere else it'll do I guess....nah, I gave my plate to the stray cats I always feed. The peach cobbler & cabbage is good ??

The first time me and my wife attempted ti try this place, we drove over and the experience was to kindly put it. Chaotic. The staff that was there wasn’t really helpful as if they expected any customer that walked through the door to just know what the process was. We asked a few people and it got yo the point we just left. I said to my wife: “this is a place you’re better off ordering your food instead of physically coming.”Our ordering experience wasn’t any different. I mean, I would love to try this place but we order twice from here (around 1pm) the order was canceled. It will say open, or give you the option to order online but seems to never be able deliver any kind of service. Needless to say: “the effort it takes to support some local business baffles me.”

This restaurant is okay ? my beautician likes to go here to eat. After she finished my hair, she asked me to take her home ? And she wanted to stop there to eat. The food is all soul food, example like: collard green, yams, meat ? loaf, macaroni, etc..... I just think the prices are a little steep!!! This restaurant has been in this location for years and I had just received word that the original owner had just passed away. Other than that , they have good customer service ?

So I keep my posts very honest. The meal was purchased for my dad at his request. If it was for me I probably would have turned around right after I got through the door. The establishment needs TLC…. and a lot of it. The food looked meh. Very seasoned….. very…. My dad ordered fried pork chops, sweet potatoes and greens. $23.00 plus.

We were in town on business from New York, Nebraska and Chicago. We wanted soul food and were told to go here. Not only was the food amazing but the staff was too!!! Macaroni & Cheese was everything!!! We loved it all, greens, sweet potatoes, black eyed peas, smothered pork chops and last but not least the peach cobbler. I am just sorry we didn't get to try the banana pudding!! Next time because we will eat there again when we come to town!!

We drove in from Indiana & Michigan and were looking forward to some good soulfood. We were very disappointed to say the least. No seasoning on the food, potatoes not cooked through in the green beans, candied yams not candied & the black eyed peas tasted "wanky". Threw it all in the trash. We will not be back.

I hate to talk badly about black-owned businesses. But there’s no way someone’s mama kitchen smells or looks like this. This place stinks so bad and the food looks gross. The prices and the menu aren’t posted. Unless you want remember the street sign… The food isn’t labeled. There’s no order or quality or cleanliness established here. The portions are small too for the price you pay. I won’t be back.

I wish I could rate this restaurant 10 stars!! The food was fresh and so delicious. Especially the spaghetti. Plenty of drink options. Also there were plenty of areas to sit and the tables were kept clean. I really enjoyed looking at the portraits on the wall as I made my way down the counter. Everyone was very friendly and I loved the cobbler samplers they were handing out. Can’t wait to return! :)

Really disappointed, my dad and grandma make the best soul food but live out of town. Was hoping for some comfort food but we ordered the meatloaf and bbq pork steak and both were not great… the meatloaf had no ketchup like the pics, and the pork steak had no bbq. They were both covered in this gravy that wasn’t great. The mac and cheese had a great texture but the taste was very off like it needed more seasoning. Collard greens, prices, and portion sizes are nothing to complain about!

The food is great! The little old lady is great! All the other black dudes just stare at you and make you feel like you don't belong. So f*** that. Racism isn't as dead as it should be. Im white and grew up in the south and absolutely love the culture! But if im paying your establishment how about faking that smile a bit for me until i leave. If i decide to go back.

Today, I purchased the smothered liver and onion dish. My sides, were macaroni and cheese and cabbage. The cabbage was good. The liver was tender. The macaroni and cheese was horrible. The cheese in the macaroni and cheese tasted rancid. The product was dry. I was really, really disappointed. I have had food from here in the past and it was tasty. But lately I have been disappointed.
