I just moved nearby and was looking for a new Chinese food spot. St. Louis is hit and miss on Chinese food, with mostly a lot of misses. I was super happy that the food was terrific at New China! I had the Kung Pao chicken lunch special. Came with fried rice and an egg roll. It was the best I've had in the area. The crab rangoon and fried dumplings were on point. 10/10, I'll be back!
The food was excellent, and the portions were plentiful! Their meats are prepared perfectly, their sauces are incredible, and my food was ready lightning quick. The crab rangoon was a bit heavy on the cream cheese, but that's a very small gripe in an otherwise amazing meal!
This is my favorite restaurant in STL. Sure, the food on the Hill is good and all, but New China is top tier. Wife loves the shrimp and broccoli; I love the chicken curry. I don’t branch out too much on the menu, but I have always been satisfied with everything that I have ordered. Will definitely be getting it again whenever I am back in STL.
