Has been one of my 2nd homes away from home during my work travels... The employees like to make your personal business their own sometimes and it can get weird and uncomfortable. I was reminded why I should just keep to myself like I usually do during my work travels. Probably start patronizing some other local places that stay out of their customers business.

The burger had a great char broiled taste. It had a nice thickness to it.
Added bacon which was a good choice. It had just enough crispness to stand up to the burger. Please get an order of their onion rings. They are hand battered at the restaurant. My only dislike was the price of the onion rings on the menu was lower than on my bill. When I told the server, she just shrugged her shoulders.

On a Friday evening we were seated immediately. Waitress promptly took our drink orders and returned for our dinner choices. We all went for the daily special the fish and chips.

Food was out in a reasonable time. Fish was excellent without excess breading. Fries were a bit soft for my liking.
Overall a great experience.

We carried out their fabulous hamburgers. However it is a great place to hang out & have a drink.

Burger was a proper hand made patty, excellent bun. Large onion rings were a meal onto themselves and good. Staff and atmosphere is excellent with reasonable prices for what you get.

They have the best hamburgers in town and we'll make them exactly as you ask. I like mine medium rare. They use mine in ounces of meat.

marvelous atmosphere, a classic pub that I hope will live on forever.

... That was 3 years ago. I'm not quite sure who bought O'Connell's but they have a very negative attitude which keeps me away from a place that I used to absolutely cherish.

They mostly only offer bar food like burgers and sandwiches. But the burger I had was very good. Our waitress was very good and attentive. The only issue I had there is that the restaurant is so loud that you can't even hear the person next to you talk.

Beautiful old corner bar close to the Missouri Botanical Garden. Small menu. It is dark inside but really cool that way. Steeped in history. Great old bar to sit at. Food is good. Great burgers and roast beef sandwich.
