Recently, we went, and the service is amazing; the restaurant is immaculate! The Mac and cheese and green beans lacked seasoning. But the meat and dressing were seasoned to perfection.
Sunday meal today was very tasteless. They had pork in the greens and beans. We were at Ohenry 2 weeks ago and they said that they cooked with turkey in the food. The food was very good. Today, Sunday, they need to fire the cook or send them to a soul food cooking school 🏫 This food is plain and bland. The corn bread is so thick, tasteless, and dry. However, words of advice, if you want to keep getting customers, you need to start off by tasting your own food first before you sale it to someone else. 😔🙏

Ol Henry's is on Airport Rd close to 170. First time and take out. Greeted cordially and served with a smile. The smothered brisket was tender. Dirty rice, cabbage and candied sweet potatoes were tasty. I was served enough for 2 so I shared with a desk-bound co-worker. I was so full he got my corn bread and banana pudding banana pudding also.

Picked up some shrimp and grits on my way out of town from airport. WOW! So tasty. I can honestly say this was the best I’ve had, even in swanky restaurants. They take much pride in what they cook here and it shows. Would be back regularly if I lived close. 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

The restaurant was closed.
This was my first time at Ol Henry. I know people who didn't care for it. Some said..it was ok.
While I was there. The door was revolving. So I guess you can say..to each their own. Everybody's taste buds are different.
However, I will say they were light on the seasoning on somethings. Hey, shake ya own 😆 . They have a specific/ special menu on Sundays.
You can get 1 meat with 2 sides ir 2 meats with 3 sides.
I had the chicken wings (nicely seaaoned), yams, mac and cheese, the green beans and a turkey leg.
Others had greens and dressing. Pretty much the same thing as I did.
No real complaints.
The place is well kept, and the staff was really welcoming, patient, and helpful.
I'll be back

Loved it! The food the ppl the vibe was great
I just don't understand restaurants, we're the customers that don't feel like cooking on some Sundays, to get to a restaurant and order and to find out it's not made with love and fake immation dressing known as stove top stuffing, y'all need to close down for real, too high for the little serving of meats and sides not made from scratch , I WILL NEVER GO THERE, HORRIBLE THE FOOD WASN'T HOT
The price for two plates or $50 today the food was dry. Unseasoned didn’t taste so well but they say there’s no refund but hey you live and learn I know not to visit again but the service was excellent. The atmosphere was very clean. The food was it so great.
If you’re looking for soul food in St. Louis, Ol’ Henry is a great place to start. The Midwest is famous for its delicious BBQ pork steak, and you’ll definitely find comfort food here. While the food selection at DTWN STL could use some improvement, their peach cobbler and candied yams truly embody the soul of the Midwest. The staff is welcoming, and the atmosphere is fantastic.
