If you’re looking for soul food in St. Louis, Ol’ Henry is a great place to start. The Midwest is famous for its delicious BBQ pork steak, and you’ll definitely find comfort food here. While the food selection at DTWN STL could use some improvement, their peach cobbler and candied yams truly embody the soul of the Midwest. The staff is welcoming, and the atmosphere is fantastic.
First of all, an older white man at my job told me about this place called Old Henry’s. He said the food would make me feel like I was back home with my grandma — and he wasn’t lying! The service was excellent, and everyone was super friendly. The food? Straight fire. 10/10 — I’ll definitely be back!
Absolutely GREAT! The food was amazing! Smothered chicken, baked chicken, yams, cabbage, mac and cheese were all on point! Nice atmosphere with true meaning of service with a smile!
