YUM! I have driven by this place a million times (ok maybe a thousand) and finally stopped in today and now I am regretting not going in sooner. It was shortly before 11 am on a Thursday and the place was packed! That was my first sign it must be good, and it sure was, the French toast is absolutely amazing!! Bring cash or a check, they don’t take credit cards.

When I first arrived.. I sat at the Counter bar…Then One employee told me they’re not doing carryout and then another one Said they’re not doing carry out and the owner told me they’re not doing carryout…” Possibly they could have said good morning.!!!!What can we do for you today?” Or How can I help you…. They obviously can’t handle the business.. Or good customer service.. I’ve been going out for years and years.. And all I wanted to do is sit at the counter And eat in peace ☮️ . and have a relaxing Sunday.. I watched the owner abuse, 2 of the employees as I was eating .. she had them in tears..And she went on and on and on.. This was very disturbing and unprofessional.... It’s not my business as to what was happening..While I was trying to enjoy my awful breakfast, she should’ve taken the business to the back room or outside!!!!! instead she made a show.. for everyone to listen and watch… As she had two employees crying and making it a public display.. It was very un classy for her to do this, and I was trying to Enjoy my meal and my time.. Very uncomfortable situation.. I wish I had the whole thing on video. But I did not want to get involved. I Now go to Bob Evans or Cracker Barrel or oak and Honey.. Professional service ,good food.. I think it’s time for her to retire.. She doesn’t know how to deal with stressful situations. I was stressed after leaving there… I have been going there for years, but I will not be going back…Bad Experience.. very disturbing..” A simple apology and how can we make things better?” Instead of defending yourself.. I’m a good tipper and always have taken care of The servers… As I respect that because I’m in the service business… But she had to bring up a point that I was impatient.. Anybody that goes there —“ “ Just sit and watch the reality and show.!!!!!!!! The calmest I ever saw her was when she was on TV …No worries, cause I won’t be going back for the soggy hash browns.. and the pancakes ,and they were not blueberry they were banana.. When you’re sending somebody away with a go order, you don’t pile the toast on top of the eggs and then on top of the hashbrowns.. It’s a family owned business”A Diner” As I also work hard for my money I appreciate all the hard work.. Don’t attack, your customers!! good criticism .., And advice is all I was trying to give… “ A simple apology and ask Your customers —What can we could do to make a better experience next time” I do understand this is not a Regular restaurant..”A Diner!” Not the Cheapest either..$$ But then again, some of the expensive restaurants are out of business… And there must be a reason why… Enjoy………..

It was my first time visiting the dinner, you can tell that there's a lot of regular customers that has been going there for a long time, and the food was delicious! And it was fun sitting at the counter and watching the cooks work in zinc with each as they prepare the food orders.
