We were hungry it was 7am when we approached the door there’s a sign cash only atm inside but we still wanted to eat so we accepted the atm option and proceeded inside. It was lovely and several conversations going on. No one greeted US and the room when quiet. We sat took a look at the menu and decided on our meals a waitress took our order and soon returned with coffee. As requested. My spouse went to the car and while he was gone the waitress told me they were out of steak. It just didn’t ring true to me to us. And we decided to pay for our coffee and go elsewhere. The least the waitress could do she did and told us not to worry about retrieving cash from the sum to pay for our coffee. It’s been in business since 1958 and I have a funny feeling we wouldn’t have been welcomed at the lunch counter either.

I grew up in o l i v e t t e I have been going I've been going to the Olivet Diner since I was a little girl when it used to be called RightWay Diner best food in town reasonable and the staff is amazing I'm 64 years old now I still love it

Waitresses were really friendly. Sat at the counter and watched the cooks work magic. They worked so well together that we were astounded. Food came out hot and delicious. The price was also reasonable.

I can’t say enough positive things about the service at Olivette Diner – it was excellent! Ms. Melinda and Mr. Vince are polite and attentive, both go above and beyond to provide a wonderful eating experience – They genuinely care about their guests. I look forward to being a regular! 🍽️ 🥘 🍳 🍵 ☕️
