If I could bottle the feeling of joy that comes from an unforgettable meal and serve it to the world, it would taste exactly like Olympia Kebob House & Taverna. Nestled on McCausland in the heart of St. Louis, Olympia is more than just a Greek restaurant,it’s an experience, a destination, and for those of us lucky enough to know it, a weekly ritual. From the moment you walk in, something shifts. You’re no longer in Missouri. The aromas, the laughter, the ambiance, they transport you to a lively taverna in the hills of Athens. And then the food arrives. We started with the Taverna Potato Peels (crispy, golden, addictive). Add a side of Tzatziki, and you’re in trouble (the best kind). Honestly, just go ahead and order extra Tzatziki. You’ll want it with everything. You’ll want it by the spoonful. You’ll wonder how a yogurt-based sauce can make you this emotional. Then came the Gyro Deluxe, a masterpiece of flavor, texture, and satisfaction. It doesn’t just set the bar, it is the bar. The Deluxe Chicken Shish Kebob Platter followed, with juicy, perfectly charred meat and a balance of herbs and seasoning that would impress even the most traditional Greek yiayia. On the side? Spanakorizo… a Greek spinach rice dish that sounds simple but hits with soul. Every bite was warm, fragrant, and comforting in the way that only true home-cooked food can be. And just when we thought we couldn’t be impressed further: Chocolate Bak-Lava. Rich. Decadent. Crisp. Sublime. I’ve traveled. I’ve eaten Greek food in several cities. And yet somehow, nothing prepared me for Olympia. That first time I ate there, I found myself shaking my head after nearly every bite, not because anything was wrong, but because I could never had been prepared for this experience. And the service? As stellar as the food. The staff is genuine, warm, and clearly proud to be part of something this special. They treat you like family, but more importantly, they seem to mean it. If we lived closer, we’d be there twice a day. As it is, we’re still making the trip once or twice a week without fail. That’s how good Olympia is. It’s not just a restaurant. It’s a place that makes you feel thankful, thankful for the food, the people, and the joy of discovering a place that just gets it all so right. Olympia, thank you for what you do. You’ve earned every word of this. THANK YOU!
Delicious food-terrific service even though they were slammed. We will be back.
First time back since I moved from the city- service was prompt, food was awesome as always. Brought my husband for the first time, so we had to do the flaming cheese, LOL!! Spanakopita was way bigger than I remembered- ample leftovers. Had to take the baklava to go. Glad that Olympia’s is still here and busy. Good people
Best value in the St Louis area and good portions. Good family setting.

Great place to hangout, have a date, or celebrate a birthday with the ones you love. Great service, nice people. There's this pyrotechnic dairy they have that is really cool and a little harrowing and surprising if you're not expecting it to blow up near your table (this is a compliment). Even love working on a laptop here on slow nights. There is privacy, but also good places for groups. Food is good! Mostly consistent, but sometimes is not as good as other times. But that's okay! I feel warmth here (and not just from the cheese.)

I went there for my birthday. The food was great, service was great, and they had clone hero (like guitar hero) in the back. My group stayed until well after close playing video game music with the staff. It was an absolute blast and I can't wait to go back again.
Excellent everything!
