Meat portions definitely smaller than before, and the meat was over fried.
Me and my Wife went to Olympia and had a good experience. Service and food both very good. The inside seating part is kinda chilly inside so bring a jacket. My wife had the Deluxe Lamb kabob plate. The rice and lamb were both amazing. Lamb was very tender and cooked perfect medium.
I had the Deluxe Gyro plate. The meat had great flavor but could has used a little more meat in comparison to the portion of lettuce and cheese you get. I got the tomato and onion on the side.
We both enjoyed the Spinach dip as well as the tzatziki sauce as apps. The fresh pita was very soft and warm.
All in all, it is a great restaurant to definitely try out.

Gyro burger was the best burger I have had in a long long time. Appetizers were amazing and it was a great little restaurant. A little loud when sitting outside from the very busy street but overall was a good find.

Just get the gyro.
All the reviews say to get the saganki. A couple in our group said it really didn't have much flavor, but it seems that everyone gets it their first time. She was right, no flavor, just thick cheese. Serving it with tzatziki sauce would have been nice.
Rather than getting a gyro where you can get anywhere, I wanted something traditional and figured this was the place to get it. I ordered the moussaka. All those ingredients, yet it was short on flavor. I substituted the chicken and orzo soup for the salad, and again, no flavor.
My wife also went with something traditional and ordered the shish kabob deluxe platter with lamb. The lamb was tough and it was otherwise a lackluster dinner. We agreed the rice was good.
Others in our group that had been there before ordered the gyro. They loved it.
Service was great and beer cold.
Next time, we'll get the gyro.

Decent place! Was a bit pricey in my opinion but that's just the world today. Food was good, nothing out of this world, but I didn't order a simple burger. Pictured is the Feta burger. Calamari was also good! Would reccomend their dill sauce. Atmosphere was very nice, albeit a bit loud for me. The best was the staff- food and stafg were so quick and efficient. You can tell they know how to do their job, and do it well! Was probably my favorite part of the dinner.

Not as good as it used to be. Food came out a little on the cold side and the service was not very good. They needed more people.

This is the best Greek restaurant in St. Louis, believe me. Other Greek restaurants are total disasters, everyone knows it. The gyro is fantastic, best gyro in the world. No tax on tips to their wonderful servers and no tax on overtime to the amazing kitchen staff who work very hard to get that delicious food out in record time. And the patio, I’ve never seen anything like it. This is a great Greek restaurant!

Tasty and authentic Mediterranean food in a beautiful restaurant.
No nonsense, just the REAL GOOD FLAVORS!
As an European born woman, who had the opportunity to eat Mediterranean food in their home countries, I would highly recommend this place because they kept the traditional flavors and atmosphere!

I’m in St. Louis. My favorite Greek place in the world is nearby-Spiros. But I came here because it’s close to my hotel and always good to try something different. So I started with avgolemono soup. No bread. Hmmm, a bummer because Spiros started me off with awesome Greek style (not pita) bread! On to the soup. Very good but it needed to be hotter and most importantly thicker. Next was Horiatiki, again no bread. Again solid but weird that shredded feta was the cheese??? At least I think it was feta? I then got the shish kebab lamb platter. It was quite good. The platter part was so-so. The feta was a very weird, not tasty and nothing I’ve ever had before(I’m greek and been to about 100 greek places). The slice of tomato, 3 cuke slices and 2 olives were the platter with the feta constituted the platter. Anyway, the place is solid. But drive a little further and get the best!!!

Chicken kebab was dry and hard and not very much char to be so dry. Humus and Baklava were both pretty good, but the star of the lunch failed miserably. It was inedible.

Olympia Kebob House & Taverna has been holding down the Greek front in St. Louis for decades, opens in 1980. The saganaki cheese arrives, is lit on fire tableside, scream it with me…. OPA.
The falafel salad landed in front of me and I don’t think I’ve ever eaten that fast. A chickpea mountain, loaded and crispy with way more falafel than I expected. Parking across the street was effortless, service was fast and friendly, and this spot was packed. And thank you for being open on a Monday. This is one of those timeless spots you should definitely check out.

We had an amazing time! We were in a bit of a rush and our wonderful server, Campbell, was so kind and let us know kitchen updates and helped us decide what to order that was delicious and worked for our time constraints. She was amazing, the food mouth watering, and the atmosphere very lively. With a mix of gluten free and vegetarians, we all got great dishes. Vegetarian gyros are hard to find but they had them!
