Oriental Chop Suey

I recently visited this restaurant and decided to try the roasted duck. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. The duck tasted more like a boiled, bland turkey or chicken rather than the authentic, crispy-skinned, juicy, and savory roasted duck I was expecting.

On a positive note, their fried food is excellent, which might be worth trying if you visit. However, the dine-in experience left much to be desired. The atmosphere didn’t feel welcoming, and there were numerous gambling advertisements, which detracted from the family-friendly vibe they seem to aim for.

Additionally, I was quite put off by the sign stating there are no refunds if you don’t like your food. To make matters worse, there was no public restroom available, which was a significant inconvenience, especially since I was traveling and really needed one.

Kid-friendliness: High chairs available, but lots of gambling posted. No public restrooms.

Went and ordered 2 tripe sandwiches for 15 buck and received a slither of tripe on each sandwich. They use to give you your money's worth. I'll have cook my own tripe sandwich at home I guess.

Best Chinese food hands down. The service is always great and even better you can order online . I don't eat gizzards but theirs are fried to perfection...smells and taste amazing.

Nice service comfortable atmosphere here the word of God.

We tried the special fried rice/ general toso chicken and crabragoon, honestly the environment was pretty unsettling & the food was OK but tasted like old grease.
The service was fast very kind older man, but the food was just so grease.
I wouldn't go back again myself that's just my family's opinion, honest review.

UPDATE: I ordered again and my order was ready for pickup. Glad to see improvement with the pick up times. Thanks Oriental Chop Suey.The food at this place is really good and I appreciate that they offer Vegan options. However, if you plan to order online for pick-up, I suggest ordering at least 15 minutes ahead of time. I ordered my food online for a pick-up at 5pm, but unfortunately, I didn't receive my order until 5:25pm. Interestingly, a lady who ordered when I entered received her food and left before I did. That alone made this a three star review. I'm trying to be understanding, maybe they simply forgot that my order was supposed to be ready at 5. However, I would appreciate if they were honest about why it wasn't ready on time. When people plan ahead and schedule a pickup time, they expect it to be respected. Waiting for almost 30 minutes after the scheduled time is frustrating. Despite all this, I still recommend giving this place a try, but make sure to plan ahead in the future as I plan to do. I will update my review if their timing improves!

My duck lo mien smelled like dog

I had the black pepper chicken and I would say that it is pretty standard. It’s not life changing or anything but also not bad. I can also see what other people are saying about their food being light on the protein. My meal was definitely heavy on the vegetables, but I was ok with the amount of chicken in the dish. I do think other Chinese places around the area do offer more protein in the food though.

There was only about 6 pieces of meat in the special fried rice the rice had a bad taste to it.
