Visiting STL and breakfast with friends and family. First experience and willing to try again. Bacon is delicious but too salty. Pancakes are great. A lil bit of a wait on Sundays but worth it. Freshly squeezed orange juice was nice, just ask for a glass of ice to go with.😊

The order here is the Irish skillet with a side of hollandaise sauce. Get the potato pancakes with the sour cream and applesauce separate. No cinnamon.

The above provides your own breakfast buffet.

Food was excellent. It was very crowded and rather loud.

Stopped in for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. The seasonal pumpkin pancakes were the standout—fluffy, warmly spiced, and topped with a generous dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon. The cinnamon-roll pancake stack with icing drizzle was rich without being heavy, especially with the warm syrup served in a little carafe. Scrambled eggs were soft and buttery, cooked evenly. Coffee arrived in sturdy ceramic mugs and stayed hot, and the orange juice tasted fresh.

The room has a cozy, classic diner vibe with clean wood tables and simple, well-kept place settings. Service was courteous and efficient, with timely check-ins for water and coffee refills. Pricing felt fair for the portion sizes.

Tip: The pancakes skew sweet; pairing with eggs (or a savory side) keeps the plate balanced.

Bottom line: A satisfying, comfort-food breakfast—especially recommended for pumpkin-pancake lovers. Would gladly return.

I stopped by the Original Pancake House in Ladue for breakfast and sat at the counter. I ordered a food and an orange juice as my drink. Unfortunately, the service at the counter was poor. My server brought drinks to guests who arrived after me but forgot my orange juice entirely. I also never received napkins, even though I saw her set them out for other guests. I had to flag down other staff just to get water and basic items.

When it was time to pay, the check was dropped off without a word, while other guests were thanked with a smile. I felt unfairly treated. The food was fine, but consistent, courteous service matters—especially at the counter. I hope management ensures all guests receive the same attention and that beverages/napkins aren’t overlooked. (I left a $1 tip only because I never leave $0.)

Always love this place food is amazing. Make sure you have ample dining time because they stay busy.
I'd like to get the corned beef hash and eggs or the spinach and feta omelette. I also tried their gluten-free pumpkin pancakes which were delicious.

This place is always amazing. I enjoy getting spinach and feta omelette. Or the corned beef hash and eggs. I tried the gluten-free pumpkin pancakes as well and they were delightful.

The food was delicious and fresh, and the service was great. My only suggestion would be to have the biscuits and gravy everyday, rather than just on the weekends.

We recently came on a Sunday morning. We got in with no wait but we only had two. Larger groups were waiting but did not seem for too long. The food and service were both very good. If you get a cup of coffee they will give you a full cup to go.
