Don't be intimated by the line as it usually moves fast and its worth it. Frito pie is where it's at!

I was in town for a conference and I went to Food Network for some recommendations and this restaurant popped up. I was not disappointed the ribs and pulled pork were really great. The sauces were really good and the atmosphere was so friendly and just down home. I love the option of eating indoors or outdoor. Great place if you are a visitor. And a lot of locals recommended this place.

Best ribs I’ve had. Anywhere, probably forever. Lines up at meal time, go between or order pick up. (edited because I spelled ribs wrong)

No question, Pappy's has the best ribs in Saint Louis. They also had the longest line but it was worth it. The meat is fall of the bone tender. The cole slaw is vinegar based with apple and cabbage, perfectly complimenting the richness of the ribs which melts in your mouth. The brisket is ok--go for the ribs. We loved Pappy's so much we came here a second time on our vacation and got the rib meal with 2 sides and added smoked turkey. I def recommend the smoked turkey as it's something different you can't find just anywhere. We also went to Bogart's (4.5/5) and Sugarfire (0/5) while in Saint Louis.

We had their pulled pork. It is one of the very best for sure. We highly recommend if you love barbecue.

Pappys is a St. Louis staple. They are amazing at moving people and overall the food is good. I have been here once a year for the past five and my experiences are somewhat inconsistent. That said this meal was good

We were in town for a long weekend and enjoyed a weekday lunch here. My husband got the brisket sandwich and I had the brisket platter. Probably the best brisket I've had! We had to wait in a short line to be seated but got our food very quickly after. I would expect a longer wait at busier times but it would have been worth waiting for!

I went here today and it was amazing!! The food was great, but we were also the last in line and it was starting to rain so they found us a place inside (we were waiting for outdoor seating). Everyone was so kind and helpful here and did I mention the FOOD???They do close when they run out of food so get there early. we got delayed for reasons and ended up getting there around 3 and were the last served before they ran out of meat. The sauces on the tables are great.

We had the brisket and the smoked chicken, plus potato salad, sweet potato fries, baked beans, and fried corn. The food was amazing and we sat outside to avoid the line and the food came in literally ONE minute. Friendly and kind staff. All the other people’s food looked awesome too!

Pappys smokehouse was good food. Certainly hardy and not skipping on the meats. The burnt ends were a solid juice and the brisket. I had a side of apple sauce and sweet potato fries, which were incredible tasty. When arrived we did wait in like a good 20-30 minutes. Once in our food came out in the 5 minutes literally!

Hands down the best ribs in America. Will always be my favorite.

The hype is real. The ribs are so so so good. The sweet potato fries are the best I've ever had anywhere (super sweet but so delicious).

Worth our 90-minute wait, came here on a Sunday afternoon during most people's Spring Break, and loved our meal. There's a parking lot in the back, carryout and picnic tables for the same on the side, and while you're in line for the dining room there's bathrooms on the left side of that long hallway wait. Once called up our order was quickly taken, we were seated, and our meal was delivered lickety split! We got the ribs with a side of pulled pork, fire & ice pickles and potato salad. The ribs were divine and the pulled pork top notch. The fire & ice pickles were nice and unique! Paired my meal with an original Fitz's. It's Pappy's!
