What a disappointment in the quality of Pi from years ago. We had a family gathering recently. The hostess was rude with everyone walking thru the door, it was bizarre. We ordered several pizzas and apps, and they were just very mediocre, a far cry from the early years of Pi when you could hardly get in the door. The bright spot was our waitress, who was way overworked but did a great job handling things.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Bad service and icky feeling in the whole restaurant. We left and literally had bugs crawling on us. Would not recommend

Progressively going down hill. 4 people in party. Waited 30 mins for table because they were short staffed but plenty of open tables. Their check in system was down with the hostess so we couldn’t even give them our name. Once seated we ordered immediately. Waited 1 hour 15 min for our pizza. Pizza was just ok. Waitress kept telling us it would be 5 mins, then 5 mins would come and go. At the end she told us one of their ovens was down. Don’t go here if you are looking for something quick!

I am not one to leave a bad review unless it is an exceptionally awful experience. We waited 30 minutes for drinks, and an hour and 40 minutes for one small pizza, and were never checked on unless our order was being taken or food was being dropped off. If the restaurant were busy, this would have been more understandable - however, they had about 7 open tables. To add insult to injury, at least three tables that were seated after us received their food well before we did. The bathrooms were also disgusting. We will not be coming back here, save yourself a trip and just order Dominoes.

4-12-24..Another visit to Pi. The gentleman waiter was nice. The young lady waitress talked like she had crap in her mouth. You couldnt understand a word... it was english, but wow. If your going to work in public. Please speek so people can understand you. Next, dont seat people next to 20 women. We all know how loud that got.We had deep dish pizza. It tasted great. The crust is no longer crispy with cornmeal... as i stated before, not a true deep dish chicago style. Very close tho. The sauce is fantastic.Food price is pretty good. Nice neighborhood. Feed the meter for a hour..Nice area. Feed the parking meter first. Very good deep dish. Although not really deep. Thicker delicious crust. Sauce is fantastic and lots of it. Smallest glass of soda I've ever gotten. No refills were ever offered. Service was very good. Definitely a great place to visit. I think Nancy's pizza is better overall. Only thing Pi wins is on the crust...
Parking: Was $2 for a hour

I can't even begin to express how appallingly I was treated today. I arrived to pick up my order, only to have the manager, Amanda, sprint to the window shouting that they're out of everything. And to top it off, I'm pretty sure she was the one who took my order in the first place. She promised a text within 30 to 40 minutes when my order would be ready, but guess what? No text ever came. As closing time approached, I went back to check on my order, only to be met with the most horrendous attitude. I've never encountered such disrespect in my life. They didn't even have the decency to inform me that my order mysteriously vanished into thin air after I placed it. What a complete disaster. I wouldn't give this establishment another cent of my money if that's the kind of management they endorse.

Inside dinning is too noisy. We ordered deep dish pizzas to go.Lots of fresh tomatoes and super delicious crust make them a stand out & one of a kind. Completely vegan offerings available.
Dietary restrictions: Vegan substitutes are available for their menu offerings.

Pi Pizzaria is a neighborhood favorite. We often get The Delmar, but this time, we got The Hill. Always delicious, whatever we choose. The Bada Bing salad is also delicious.

Pi used to be my favorite place to take out of town guests to welcome them to STL. I also used to recommend it to visiting work colleagues. Unfortunately, I will have to find a new favorite place o recommend. Something seems to have changed. We used to get great food, great service. I never minded the wait because the food was worth it. We went just last night. They were not super busy. We had a wait for our party of 6 which was fine. The guests on the list before us left , bumping us up. I got a notice on my phone that it was our turn to be seated. When I got up to walk up to the host stand, the host said it was a mistake and it was another 6 top's turn although they came in quite a bit after us. Instead of apologizing and looking at the list and then the notification on my phone, the host got super rude and defensive and just doubled down. We got seated. Our server, Taylor, was great. She was accurate, friendly, quick despite the fact that her other tables were on the completely other side of the restaurant. The garlic knots were good. The pizza was rather mediocre. The wait was long. A couple of the staff seemed irritated that customers were even there (I find that bizarre when you're workina service industry). I was pleased to see that many staff were supporting the LGBTQ+ community, but I will continue to support them through other venues. The last several experiences have been pretty poor, with the exception of Taylor and a young lady working the to-go counter. At first I had made excuses. "maybe they're just having an off night." "Maybe they person had a bad day." The experience before this, the kitchen was out of almost everything we tried to order and it was at the beginning of dinner service. The server was pretty rude about it. The food wasn't great. Long wait. Unfortunately, we're just going to have to find somewhere else to take guests and recommend to work colleagues.
