Ever since the new owner took over few years ago its never been the same. This is supposed to be Neapolitan Pizza, this is not it. First they use a machine to make the pizza shape out of the dough, which will never give it the Neapopotan shape. They use less real mozzarella than the previous owner and a lot of their cheese has been substituted for typical American processed cheese. I wish they would've kept everything the same. The previous owner did show them how to make the pizza.
The Margherita pizza I got was super thin, crunchy, super thin slized of Mozzarella. It wouldve never passed in Italy. The previous owner made a nice round Neapolitan shape pizza with globs of Mozzarella, not just tiny thin slized mozzarella.
Their pizza is NOT bad, but pricey for what they offer and nowhere near good as what it USED TO BE.
Hopefully the new owner sees this review and calls the previous owner to re-train them on how to make proper Neapolitan Pizza.

Tivoli makes one of the best brick oven pizzas in St. Louis. Small and cozy place. We have been here since they opened the restaurant and the food was always exceptionally good.

I dont know what this is, supposedly pizza bread and olive oil, but it was gross and smelled up my entire hotel room. Ate one piece, and the rest went into the hotel hallway. Im not from here, maybe im uncultured, didnt like it anyhow.

Really good pizza!! Chewy crust, crisp pepperoni, flavorful sauce. Sweet staff. The antipasto platter was a huge disappointment though. It is listed on the menu as coppa, sorpressta salume, cheeses, olive medley, peppers, and bread. Instead I received deli salami and deli Swiss and Gouda cheese slices…like what I would buy at Schnucks. They did at least take half the price off the appetizer, but just know it won’t be what is listed.

This pizza is totally underrated here in StL! I’ve lived here 15 years and finally tried it and it’s absolutely perfect wood fired crust, delicious toppings, and very calm atmosphere. We will return frequently!

We ordered this pizza through doordash and received the wrong pizza. We went back to the store because doordash was entirely unhelpful and the owner replaced our pizza for the correct one for no charge. He was very kind and helpful as well!

Not our first time there, but it had been a while due to COVID. Forgot how freakin’ awesome their pizza is! My wife and I each had a Tivoli salad and split the Romana pizza. The salad (as always) was cold & fresh, but their pizza is the star of the show! Perfectly baked in their wood-fired oven, cheesy, wonderful flavor, with a crust almost as good as the rest of the pie. Positively satisfying all around. My wife and I are kind of pizza snobs and have tried most of the pizzerias in St. Louis that folks rave about. The pizza at Pizzeria Tivoli tops them all!! Days after our meal there, we’ll still randomly comment about how much we enjoyed our meal. TOP NOTCH!!
