I was in St. Louis for just a few days and didn’t get nearly enough time to explore this city, but I am so happy I stumbled across this little gem! Very unassuming exterior which created and awesome impression when I walked in. Warm, cozy, inviting space with outstanding cocktails! I had two, one was “Winter Isn’t Coming” and the other was “the Janmer”, which was served hot (think hot buttered rum). Wow! The banana runts candy on the Winter drink was such a sweet touch. Gorgeous presentation, each drink we had was unique and the bartender was really thorough in explaining the menu, the cocktails and what cocktails were on tap, and which were hand crafted. I’d be a regular here if I lived in STL.The kitchen was closed when we went but we had already had dinner and went in specifically for a night cap. Thank you so much for a lovely experience, Planter’s House!

Our first time here. Had drinks at the bar that were amazing. I believe your bartenders’ name was Hea??? We sat a he bar and watched her…so methodical. The best cocktails we’ve had in a long time. Will definitely go back to try food!

Update: the staff has definitely changed to be more helpful since my last visit. Food is decent. Drinks are fantastic.Old review'I've gone here several times. The place is beautiful, love the feel of it. However as time goes on the staff becomes more and more rude. You get a distinct feeling they dont care if they get your business or not

I really enjoyed the overall experience and atmosphere! The drinks are whimsical and tasty, and the food is likewise a good pairing. My only negative critique is that the flashing twinkle lights on the bar area were a bit hard on the

From the moment we sat at the bar we have been enamored. The Cocktails are top-notch, the service spectacular, and the price friendly. These cocktails are on par with places like Bavette's in Chicago and Sazerac Lounge in New Orleans. Our bartender, Shelby, was friendly and made suggestions based on my taste. I highly recommend visiting if you're in St. Louis.

I came tonight for dinner as I had reservations for two. We came in and they asked if we wanted to sit at the bar. We didn’t want to sit at bar so they sat us in the dining area. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable of the dishes. It was uncomfortable cold in there and it was 40 degrees outside and I don’t think their heat was on. The menu has just a few entrees listed. We both opted for the burger and fries. The burger was good and it tasted really fresh. The burger did not have cheese on it, which is different but still good flavor. We both ordered cocktails and they were good. You can really tell the difference when a mixologist makes your drink. I see why they are known for their cocktails.

I want to thank the staff at Planters House for their hospitality. This establishment is so good, it has every right to envoke pretestiousness, but, the staff there is so nice!Last week i spilled my wonderful new york sour cocktail all over the table, chair and floor. Our waitress came over with a smile, cleaned my mess, and told me not to worry. She retrieved another cocktail for me. Wow! Midwestern hospitality at its finest. The drinks were so good. Aside from the new york sour i also got the whiskey smash which was so good! The ribeye with brussel sprouts was excellent.Thank your planters house!

I had the BEST time at Planter's House! Their steak was sooo good, and the fries were really amazing. I tried a bunch of their fancy cocktails, and they were all really tasty. Oh, and the owner Ted Kilgore was awesome! He was super nice and kept checking on us to make sure everything was good (which it always was lol). You can tell he really cares about his customers. I'm definitely going back again soon!!!

Incredible cocktails that pack a punch. You have to try the “in a pickle.” Best cocktail in STL. The duck dish was filling and juicy!! Love coming here and the owner is super friendly and knowledgeable, always says hi and recommends the best new drinks on the menu.

Planter's House is definitely a location for great cocktails and bar snacks. It would be a great place to take a date or to meet with a friend. The bar and dining area is pretty small, so definitely not recommended for groups and I would not come here for a meal. The dinner was disappointing for most of the guests I was with except for the one who had a steak. The meals were pricey for the quality and quantity received. I was with friends who had the chicken dish, a burger and kale salad. The chicken dish was small and lacked flavor. The burger was okay. I had the kale and added chicken to this. The chicken was extremely dry and the dressing was bland, so it was just a flavorless and dry salad. Our appetizers were the best part of our meal, we had deviled eggs and the gochujang chex mix. I would definitely get the deviled eggs again and they were a crowd pleaser for the table. The chex mix was missing the gochujang spice kick, but was still decent.Parking: Street parking is available but they aren't always enough spots during the restaurants busiest times.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Not readily wheel chair accessible. The walkways within the restaurant are small and there is no ramp at the front door to get in and there are a few steps.

We came for cocktails and it was a great decision. They have a portion of the cocktail menu specifically dedicated to “Bob’s Burgers” references.
