This restaurant has a very fun rustic vibe. When you enter you're immediately in the bar area with a beautiful rustic old mansion vibe. Racks of beautifully placed liquor bottles on a prohibition style metal racking. As you traverse up the stairs, you see a small coffee shop vibe. I loved all the nick knacks and the old machines displayed everywhere. We ordered the mussels and Malfada. All very very good, but lacking in donuts blow your mind flavor. Malfada is one of my most favorite dishes, it was a crazy large portion (great for leftovers). The pasta was perfect al dente. The sauce was rich, thick and tasty, but still lacked the bang I was hoping for. The mussels were big and delicious. The dipping bread, which all girls love, was perfectly crisp and perfect in the sauce. Overall the drinks were great and the food was really hood, but still needed a little something extra. Service, was great beginning to end. We will go back!

I loved Polite Society pre pandemic. Went once during the pandemic, after shots were out and things were "returning to normal" and it was just OK, but many restaurants were struggling at that time not having the right staff or the right ingredients so we didn't hold it against them. We decided to give it another shot today, almost 3 years later... It was still disappointing. I got the breakfast sandwich, it's very hard to mess up a breakfast sandwich, and when it arrived it was missing arugula and the Sriracha aioli. The turkey sausage patty tasted like it was previously frozen. It wasn't bad with just the bread + eggs + bacon + cheese but there's nothing special about that, pretty basic sandwich for $16. Once I got my aioli (after asking for it) it was much better. Husband got the shrimp and grits and it had a great flavor, I would recommend that over the sandwich. Service was great! Overall we still weren't impressed and won't be returning. I don't understand the hype, but I see many of the reviews are for dinner. Maybe their dinner redeems themselves. Though with so many good restaurants in the area, I don't think we will take that chance.

Food-5 stars. Service-5 stars. Nick was knowledgeable and very attentive. Ambiance-awful. This place has such potential. The wine list is so good, the menu was amazing. However, when we went, there were people at a table next to us that were over served, verrryyy drunk and were literally yelling constantly. Granted, this is NOT the restaurants fault, but it ruined our experience and the server or manager never asked them to be quiet or behave a single time. It was giving Texas Roadhouse on a Friday night vibes, disguised as a high end restaurant on a Tuesday night. Cannot recommend unfortunately if you're going for a romantic date night vibe.

Delicious! We were able to get seated a half hour earlier than our reservation on a Saturday. The espresso martinis were good and the food was even better. Best brunch spot I had during the 3 months I lived in St. Louis. My friend and I tried the French toast, b&g, and eggs Benedict. She had never tried eggs Benedict before and was wanting to go back to get it again. Very flavorful. Both of the eggs were cooked perfectly. Oh and the cheddar grits... SO GOOD! Decor is cute on the inside. Highly recommend

Great food and great service. My girlfriend and I visit at least once every other month. It's not too loud and not too quiet.

Polite society was nice! From the time we walk in the door and were seated. Our concierge and the food were great! If you like grits I would tell you to get those. The best grits Ive had at any restaurant. Service was fast but the table was small especially after we order our food but overall it is a good brunch place. Will fo it again in the near future.
