Everyone, I found you a late night spot. Pops Kitchen on Washington Ave is proof that not all late-night fried food has to come in a cardboard box from a chain. This is the local joint where the grease is just better and the fish actually tastes like fish. I went all in on the catfish and it was #StLouisPescatarianApproved The breading was perfectly crispy and the inside was flaky. And yes, I was out past midnight, so where's my medal?

Delicious food, forreal!! Fried fish, chicken, and cheese steaks (both chicken and steak) were sooo good. We even tried the SistaGirl Sweets Red Velvet Banana Pudding!! When I tell you my momma, who was with me, wanted to slap ME cause the dessert was SO GOOD!! Pop's Kitchen will be a regular stop when in St. Louis from now on.

AMAZING shrimp and catfish both fried!! Just flew in from San Francisco and had some truly fresh fish in the Fisherman's Wharf and Pops here in St.Louis did not disappoint. The portion size was great even had some for the next day.

Really happy I chose them. Made my day a lot easier.

They are so high with there prices. I spent 35.00 and my food was not all in the bag, I had cheese missing off of 2 of my plates. They didn't put one of my dinners in the bag. Services was horrible. They have homeless people sleeping outside the store. I will never spend my money here again.

I got gizzards and fries. Gizzards were good. My son got catfish and chicken with fries. They ask what flavor wings then charge for the flavor. His wings were cold so he had to put them in the microwave. His fish was fresh and the fries were room temp. He ate the fish and fries. And when you ask for condiments they give you the bare minimum. This place is pricey. Try them at least once.
