I used to go here 20+ yrs ago and really liked it. Yadayada, we had dinner there tonight and were very impressed. The service, the food, and of course the margaritas were top notch. If you’re looking for a good authentic Mexican restaurant this is it!

I've given this place multiple tries I really have, but it's just the same thing as you can get at any other neighborhood spot with much higher prices. The steak fajitas were underseasoned and not cooked to order, and the enchiladas at $22!!!! are the same quality as a plate you would order at El Maguey. Burritos with your choice of meat is minimum $16. I understand that times are tough in this economy, but this feels like a place that has gone too far the other direction. There are more unique options nearby and for the same price or cheaper. Service is excellent though. And there is a nice patio that is great for good weather, but cannot possibly justify the prices.

PROS Nice patio and excellent service by Maisaa our waitress. CONS Salsas were a tasteless blunder. We had to ask for lime and cilantro to make it marginally palatable. Fajitas had no flavor. Is garlic, lime and salt not part of the arsenal? Refried Beans? Canned beans from H.E.B. Would have been better. “Handmade” Margaritas tasted like powder was used to make the sweet and sour. I was very disappointed with the food and drink because they used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant and I hadn’t been here in years. Must have new owners. Sigh. Avoid.

Great Mexican restaurant on South Hampton. The margaritas were awesome and they have pretty good selection of Mexican beers. (nothing on tap). We went with another couple and everyone said their entrée was awesome. Service was great also.

Had a large party for my birthday and the margaritas were amazing, food was delicious and the service was perfect.
This has to be my new favorite for Mexican. Menu is unique, service is great and it's a quaint little spot with great ambience. I had the create your own, cheese enchilada, chicken taco and we shared a sopapilla for dessert
