Since birth, I (like almost all others) have been in search of what I could define as my place. I’ve rolled with Frat Brothers and the Furries. I’ve seen it all. However, the only place I’ve ever felt like I could be myself is at Ranoush. In fact, ranoush translates to home. Ranoush, is my home too. The restaurant is run by a man named Gabe.

Favorite hookah spot in STL. The hookahs last long and the food is great. My server, Gabe, provided me with great customer service as he very polite and made sure everything was everything.

I’ve been to Ranoush a few times, usually late at night, and it’s always been a solid spot for decent food and hookah. Last night I ordered the mixed grill, and as usual, the food was consistent and enjoyable.

That said, the service this time left a bad impression. My server seemed flustered, which I didn’t mind as long as the food came out. The issue came when I was closing my tab—she gave me a different total than expected, and since I was tired I...
