My husband and I are in from out of town and wanted to try a new breakfast spot. He loves crepes so when I found this online I was super excited. When we got there, we were looking over the drinks and the server came up and asked what we would like. I asked if they had any sugar free options for lattes, and she said no while laughing in my face. It soured me so we left.
Now, it’s totally fine not to have sugar free options, but what if I had been a diabetic or had some...read full review
The food is good. So I will not take that away from them. But they obviously are not used to large crowds, and do not have the staff in the kitchen to maintain the crowd. We waited an hour to sit down, which we accepted. So I won’t complain about that. But they sat us, and the waiter was crazy busy and took twenty minutes to take our order. We were in the mood for crepes and found this place online. We were only in St. Louis for a day and decided to stop in for brunch. The service was OUTSTANDING. Ken was the best server we could have had. He was so helpful and attentive. We have a really picky kid and he worked with us to accommodate what she wanted, without the blink of an eye. All of our meals were fantastic. We would come back to STL just to come back here again. It was a dining experience we won’t forget.

Rooster is a popular brunch spot in downtown STL that offers excellent breakfast options. The dishes have a strong spice that some find overpowering, but overall, the food is yummy. The mint lemonade is a refreshing choice, albeit slightly minty. Prices are a bit high, but worth it for the quality. Recommended choices include the farmers breakfast, French toast, and the delicious tomato bisque. The service is generally prompt, and the restaurant is clean, though food can come out slower than anticipated during busy times. There are some music and sound system issues, with speakers placed too low causing a muddy sound. Despite this, the staff is friendly and attentive, making Rooster a great choice for a delicious and filling breakfast experience, even accommodating picky eaters.
