We were seated and waited 15 minutes before anyone can to the table to take our drink order and provide menus and only because I was able to get the attention of someone clearing tables. We finished our salads, no one cleared the plates so when the entrees were served there was no place to put them on the table except on top of our dirty salad plates. The food runner looked at me like I had 6 heads when I told her the dirty plates need to be cleared first. Finally someone came to the table to assist and stayed with us till the end of the meal. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. We were given two drinks on the house to apologize for the poor service. I would've rather had a great experience from the start.

It's always a treat to eat at Russell's! We were celebrating our anniversary and it was lovely

Russell's on Macklind is a perennial favorite and someplace I always seek to take out of town visitors. Without being stuffy, it's always a memorable occasion. We love the meatloaf, crab cake, salads, and - of course - the incredible cake selection. The ambiance and service round out one of St. Louis's best spots.

We love Russel's, the service is always attentive and friendly but not too pushy. The food is excellent. My only complaint is that it can be quite loud if there is a large party present because it is a fairly small space. Otherwise very nice.

Food was amazing. We were seated outside at our request. However a storm blew in and staff quickly helped us find an inside table to finish our meal.

The quiche and breakfast burrito were both amazing. Nicki, our server was also fantastic. We love the food and experience every time we dine at Russel's.

Great waiter, delicious food and fantastic desserts as always. I've never had a bad experience.

When ordering we were told the owner who manages the menu, etc was off tonight. The food was sub par compared to our prior experience. The red snapper was tough, the pasta was not good and the burger was ordered med rare arrived well done. Very disappointing. We asked for bread, it arrived after we paid the bill.

Food was very very good. I do think it's a bit overpriced though. It was very loud inside. The sound resonated so it was hard to carry on a normal conversation. Service was poor. We waited 15 minutes before someone came to take our drink order. I would go back again and I thought the food was amazing but the noise and service could be improved on.

Everything was great regarding our dinner at Russell's. Our waitress was very friendly, helpful and good at her job! Food was delicious - I had the Ricotta Angolotti and my husband had the Hand Cut Pasta. Both were outstanding. Ambience was great - we ate outside on the charming deck. We will be back.

For such a small busy place the service and food are exceptional. You really get your money's worth at this place.

Terrific food and service from Addy. We split a cinnamon roll, and it was a treat. The hash special for the brunch was tasty as well. Coffee was hot and Addy was efficient and polite, a delight. Thanks and we will be back, next time we might dig into some of the delectable looking deserts in the bakery case!

We absolutely always enjoy our time dining here. The food is 2nd to none and the staff is always beyond friendly. Can't recommend this place enough.

The cinnamon roll is to die for!! Enough for the whole table. We were fortunate to get an upstairs table at the window. Definitely quieter for some old friends catching up. Our server was very understanding that we hadn't seen each other in some time. Food was a lot for those who had the hash of the day. Great meal with great old friends
