Good amount of chicken on the empanada but the chicken inside was cold and not much flavor. Also $5 per empanada for cold food is a disappointment.

Salsa Rosada has become part of our Christmas tradition. Every year we cater from them, and the food is consistently incredible. The flavors are rich, authentic, and full of heart—true Puerto Rican comfort food that brings everyone together. Everything is always fresh, well-prepared, and a hit with the whole family. I truly can’t imagine our holiday without Salsa Rosada. Highly recommend if you’re looking for real Puerto Rican food done right.

Used to go to Mayo Ketchup and get the bowls all the time, swung by Salsa Rosada and was disappointed. The meat was really tough and there were raw grains of rice in my bowl. The staff is nice but the quality was just not there.

Stopped here on my way through the city from out of state. Looked for a small business to support. This place hit the spot. Delicious, simple eats. The chicken bowl is amazing. I left over stuffed. My kids had a Cubano and the Venezuelan hotdog. Big hits with them as well.
I avoid gluten and was able to find multiple things I could have eaten here.

Edit: I took down my original comment, but your petty reply just confirmed how off-putting the whole experience was. The service was disorganized—food and drinks were delayed and even misplaced. But what really made everyone at our table uncomfortable was watching you deflect blame onto the only POC front-of-house staff member. It reeked of a lack of accountability and carried an unsettling undercurrent of racism.
Also, the food and margarita? Totally mid.

Owner went out of her way to deliver something our dasher forgot to. On top of that everything was delicious!

It was my 1st time eating here. I dined in the restuarant. Food was good. It was New Year's Day, less and 8 customers. After woman brought my meal to the table, no one ever came out and checked on me or to see if I needed anything, even after the restuarant was completely empty. It sounded like a party was going on in the kitchen.
But, on the bright side I have just been cured of pre-tipping staff & now I will just look online and experiment with new flavors at home until I find a different Venezuelan restuarant.

We visited the aquarium and this wasn’t too far away. Nice aquarium beautiful exhibits but rather small. We ordered the avocado empanadas, a shareable dish. Mostly bread, but a good dipping sauce. Then we shared the tostones and some yellow rice & pigeon peas. The main dish was very good. Be sure to ask for the vegan sauce, the ones out are not vegan. It was very good and very fried. I went with my daughter last Friday , and the guy who is in the front was unfriendly. Didn’t give info about the vegan empanadas, plus he seemed upset. The vegan mushrooms were overly fried and super dry.
Not welcoming people there. Not going back again to this restaurant.
