The food was amazing. I got the Oklahoma cheese burger (I got double patty since it is a smash burger) with Mac and cheese. We also got the grilled cheese brisket and fries. The fries are so good, will not go wrong. Overall the experience was great, literally no issues. Also they do not use Coke or Pepsi products. They use Excel bottling sodas which are really good. You can taste the cane sugar in the drinks. We got a lemonade and the R-pep (basically Dr. Pepper). Both are so good. The lemonade does not have that Minute Maid taste, more like a real lemonade to be honest.

Salt and Smoke restaurant in downtown St Louis is a 10 out of 10. The beef burnt ends were like butter. The mac and cheese was delicious. The pulled chicken sandwich was Smoke perfection and savory. The Gooey Butter cake was heavenly. $74.00 well spent. I might have to smuggle some home on the plane back to Oregon.

Service was pretty good. The side were just ok. Beans were not tasty. The chicken tasted great. The portions of the brisket and burnt ends was laughable for the cost. They tasted good but for the price it was just not enough.

Chicken wings where smoked to perfection no complaints besides pulled chicken (didn’t like) but everything else great. great environment Amanda our server was great and the host was the best top tier enjoy!
I walked here from one of the nearby hotels. I arrived just before a slight dinner rush. I was very impressed that my meal (a brisket plate with 2 sides) was brought to my table 2 minutes after I ordered it. It took me longer to walk here than it took to get my food delivered to my table.
I watched as multiple groups came in after me. I saw that every guest also received their food quickly and the servers were attentive to their guests.
Once the facility became mostly full with customers, I appreciated that the environment did not become loud. Each table had guests participating in conversations at their tables. While there was moderate noise from the people, it never really appeared much louder than when I originally arrived.
I look forward to my next opportunity to visit this location.

Our server Lauren L was fantastic! She gave us great service and was super kind. Even though the restaurant was out of some meats for the day, the options available were delicious. Meats were juicy and flavorful. An appetizer plus the 4 Meat Plate was plenty of food for 2. Highly recommend the Burnt End Toasted Ravs and Mac & Cheese and Fries (with the ranch!) as sides!
