Located right next to Busch Stadium, this Salt + Smoke location serves some amazing BBQ that will not disappoint you. I sat at the bar, ordered an Old Fashioned and a plate of brisket, and had a great night. Service was good and the atmosphere was chill. This is the spot to be if you want good BBQ in a central part of St. Louis. You might as well catch a Cardinals game too if there is one going!

My initial post stated my disappointment in communication from management regarding Salt & Smoke. This post is a follow up to the original. I went back to the Ballpark Village location and as expected they had my credit card. The staff was super friendly and apologetic about my troubles for having to return to the store (even though it was my own absentmindedness that led me to forget my credit card lying on the table in front of me). Salt & Smoke management emailed me right away to inform me of the issues with their phones and apologize for the inconvenience. I have since updated my review to 5 stars. I will definitely be back. Thanks Salt & Smoke for your upstanding integrity and proving me wrong lol!

Hey, at this restaurant in downtown St. Louis in the ball park village. Beef brisket was delicious pork barbecue was great. Loved the Kale Crunch Salad. Tanetta was a fantastic waitress. She was very attentive and food was served just as requested. I highly recommend!!

Loooooong wait! Was quoted 30 minutes, but it was actually an hour and a half. That said, worth the wait (and my wife had been for lunch the day before and was seated immediately). Great service and awesome food. The smothered fries with brisket app was delicious and easily big enough to be a meal for 1. Had a combo plate with KC style burnt ends (not really burnt ends if you know what you're talking about and a relatively small portion but awesome flavor),pork ribs (tender and juicy with excellent spicy sauce), and fried bologne (thick and delicious with cheese built in). The mac and cheese was so good I almost ordered a fried bologna sandwich to go so I could get more, but the beans were just OK. Has a nice variety of local beer in cans (I had a vanilla one that was great and the wife had guiness-esque one that she liked, too). Can't speak to the desserts because we were too stuffed to try... Not cheap, but not crazy either. The three meat combo was about $25 and the sandwich with one side that tempted me as leftovers would have been $16 if I remember correctly. I definitely wouldn't hesitate to return!

Super great bbq place close to Busch Stadium. Recommend getting there early, as they run out of food on game days (brisket, ribs, chicken, etc). Staff were super friendly and the food was phenomenal.

We drove for 12 hours to see the eclipse, and to have Salt + Smoke. The brisket. OH the brisket. The wings. Just get all the meats. Try all the sauces. And get your picture taken with Chuck when you're done.

Stopped in on a road trip on a Monday and was so happy this place was open! A lot of other local bbq spots were closed. The food was really great esp for my friend and I we didn't need anything too crazy so we split a half rack of ribs and got two sides and it was all great!! Our server, I believe Billy, was very friendly and genuinely cared about our feedback on food and drinks; he was worried my friend may not have liked her drink (it was a newer recipe not yet on the menu) and offered her something else but she assured him she liked it! It's not every day a server actually notices you might not like something and offers something else, personally I really appreciated that he offered. The overall vibe was really nice and the rest of the crew was friendly as well. It's also by quite a few other cool spots so the location is great, only a short walk over to the arch. Overall a great experience, especially for what we needed!

Ordered toasted ravioli, and kale salad. The ravioli was really tasty. The salad was good too I liked the apricot pieces in it. The sauce for ravioli was amazing. The place looks nice. Service was ok.

I've lived in STL for over 6 years now and Salt + Smoke has always been my favorite BBQ. I've typically gone to the restaurant on the Loop but most recently when to the one downtown, next to Busch Stadium. I was excited to take one of my friends from out of town because it was her first time in STL and we were hitting up all of the "must do" things like the Arch, the Zoo, Ted Drewes, etc. so obviously I had to take her to the "best" BBQ. It was my first time going to this new location and the restaurant inside was really nice and quite big, especially compared to other locations. The floor to ceiling windows allows for a great view of the ballpark. There is additional seating upstairs and even outside. Unfortunately our service was very poor. The server would disappear for extended periods of time making it difficult to place our order. I'm not sure the server came back to check on us while we were eating, if so it was once we had already ate most of our food. When it was time for the check the server was nowhere to be found. We waved over another server and asked for help in locating ours. He even had a difficult time finding him. The food itself was also a bit disappointing. I was raving about the White Cheddar Cracker Mac before we arrived and it definitely did not live up to the hype or flavor that it typically has. I ordered the Pulled Pork sandwich with White Cheddar Cracker Mac and my friend ordered the Pulled Pork plate with White Cheddar Cracker Mac and Potato Salad. Her pulled pork plate had so much fat on it that she lost about half of the "pork" due to the amount of fat, obviously disappointing but also unappetizing to see so much. While this wasn't the best visit to Salt + Smoke, I'll still be back, but maybe to the "tried and true" location on the Loop.

INSANELY GOOD FOOD. My boyfriend and I absolutely love BBQ and have had our fair share of it. After trying salt and smoke as a stop on our road trip we can confidently say this is literally the best brisket we've ever had in our life. We both ordered the exact bestie combo which includes two meats and two sides-- smoked ribs & brisket, cheese popover, mac and cheese, and the "special" side, which today was potatoes au gratin. They have four different sauces to pair with your bbq, our favorite was the "my sweet bestie" sauce. Neither of us expected this much food to come out but we were stuffed af. Even had leftovers! Everything was so f'ing amazing, I literally can't stop thinking about the brisket, in fact a previous review suggested getting double brisket and we both wish we listened to that review. GET DOUBLE FATTY BRISKET. It literally melts in your mouth. At the end I ordered a slice of their cake to go and that was absolutely amazing as well, I didn't take a pic but please take my word when I say the lemon berry marscapone cake is a must-try. Service was fast, nice, and attentive, and the ambiance is somewhat upscale but nice and cozy, very family friendly and has a great view of the stadium. Next time we visit St. Louis we're definitely coming back for a second round.

Absolutely delicious! The kale salad was outstanding! The pulled chicken sandwich was to die for! My kids LOVED the BLT and the Mac and cheese. The mag and cheese was probably the best I've ever had. We were so impressed with this place. Great service too!!!

One of the best brisket sandwiches I've ever had. Ever. The brisket was juicy and tender, and finished with a nice crust. The sandwich was topped with fried onions that just put it over the top. I originally ordered a side of Cole slaw and smoked beans, but once my bfs mac n cheese came, i had to order my own. The cracker crust adds a salty crunch that pairs with the gooey mac really well. Make sure to try all the bbq sauces they have! Our waitress, Kaye, was super sweet and attentive. The house was packed but our food came out pretty quick. We joined the waitlist on Yelp then just walked over when it was our time. The place itself is located right across of the baseball stadium. Lots of seats and space for big and small groups.
