AMAZING ~ & totally changed my perspective about gin. The yogurt gin cocktail blew my mind, but the pasta made me want to cry happy tears. They were super accommodating for a vegetarian & I had both the gnocchi and fettuccine. Everything was super fresh & aromatic. Shawn was an awesome server & explained everything so well. Also, the music was amazing??

Had a great dinner on a cute little patio. The atmosphere was adorable, the owners know their gin, and every drink was a work of art! We are coming back for the pork chop, for sure. The only negative was the cheesy bread. It’s not served warm.

Food was good but don’t come hungry. Had a total of 8 gnocchi in our entree. Now we are on our way to find more food.

Loved the food and drinks—both were spectacular. The vibe is a perfect balance of chill, hip, and upscale. Great for a stylish night out that still feels relaxed and welcoming.

We chose Salve Osteria to host our rehearsal dinner the night before our wedding. Their food and drinks are amazing and their team is accommodating and professional! Brad and his team were even able to make a special meal for one of our guests who has a very restricted diet and normally can't eat at most restaurants. We love Salve!

Weekend happy hour at Salve Osteria = absolute perfection! 🍷✨

It’s not easy finding a solid weekend happy hour, but Salve Osteria completely delivered. From the drink specials to the flavorful small plates, everything hit the mark.

We ordered:
🧀 Meat & Cheese Plate – a charcuterie lover’s dream
🍝 Meatballs – tender, flavorful, and perfectly sauced
🐷 Pork Belly – crispy on the outside, rich and melt-in-your-mouth inside
🥔 Patatas Bravas – golden, spicy, and impossible to stop eating

The vibes were relaxed and welcoming, making it the perfect place to wrap up the weekend. Drinks were fantastic, and the attention to flavor and detail in every dish was chef’s kiss.

If you haven’t been yet, this is your sign to go—and if you know other great weekend happy hours in STL, send them my way!

My wife and I had an absolutely lovely time here. The service was top notch, and our server gave us personalized recommendations on their extensive gin list. Light appetizers (spring veggies), great food, and the cannoli cheesecake was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had!

Great ambiance. Our young server did a great job serving our party of 12. She was delightful! The food was amazing. Multiple people in our party had the short rib pasta and said it was amazing. My squid ink ravioli was perfect. The shrimp in the ceviche didn't really seem to absorb the flavor of the marinade. Multiple people in the party had the scallops and said they were great but 4 scallops seemed a little light for the price as they were not exceptionally large sea scallops. The drinks and Cocktails we had were amazing and we understand that the cocktail bar is a gin joint but some in our party would have preferred a classic cocktail like Margarita or a cosmo and they said they did not have the capability of preparing those. So it did not seem like it was a full bar. Overall I would recommend and go again.

We looked forward to eating here when we visited STL for a mini vacation. Sadly, the pictures looked better than the food actually was. The braised short rib pasta was severely lacking braised short ribs and flavor. The lasagna was on par with a frozen Stoffers lasagna. The atmosphere was nice, but every table that was sat after us was right next to us. In an empty restaurant, it would be best to spread the tables out some, so we don't have to talk over the other groups.

Cocktails, service, and desserts were absolute 10/10. Everything was so amazing and our server was FABULOUS. Food definitely left something to be desired, it was room temp and ok but did not feel like it was worth the price.
