On October 4th, I watched a manager berate a delivery driver because he didn’t want to sign an invoice. Tim Cavanaugh threatened and eventually called the police on a delivery driver for simply doing their job. This was in front of families and his other employees. How she was able to keep her composure is mind boggling. The employees did nothing but stare (as well as the patrons). It’s not their jobs to step in, but this behavior was absolutely nauseating. To the delivery driver: If you see this message, I hope you never have to encounter such a revolting client again

Firstly this place is inside the City Museum. That wasn't really mentioned on gmaps.Second, it isn't even easy to find inside the Museum because I think they changed their name to Lizard Lounge. The food wasn't great, and quite expensive.

Pizza was blah. Didn't have several items available on an already very limited menu.

Great food options. My family of 4 ordered a large pizza with all of the meat options and we could not finish the pizza! The staff was super helpful and friendly!

Very good considering it’s in the Children’s Museum. Meatball Sub and 16 inch carnivore pizza were enough for a family of 4.

I genuinely can't think of any item on the menu that is bad or bland. The service is pretty good.

This is actually quite tasty for a museum cafe. The servings are large (my salad filled a large plate and hubby’s hotdog was almost a foot long). Pizza is a good choice if you want to feed multiple people. This restaurant is on the second floor and overlooks the big curved stairs.

Buyer beware. If You are not paying cash - you will get Credit Card fees attached to Your total bill. There is no disclosure at the register and cashiers do not tell you that. Sneaky, but legal to do. However - not cool.

Sneaky, but legal to do. However - not cool. Imagine if a sign at the cafe would say - cash only - they would probably loose half the customers. VISA and MC fees shouldn't be passed onto customers.

We ate here because it’s inside the City Museum and we didn’t want to waste time walking somewhere else. I’m gluten-sensitive (not celiac) so I asked if they had gluten-free sandwich bread and was told they had a cauliflower pizza crust that would work for me. Come to find out, they were out. I also heard them say they were out of steak, they thought the chicken had gluten in it, someone else was waiting a really long time for her food and it was only 1:15...the whole thing felt disorganized and they seemed a little frazzled. They didn’t really have any other gd options, so I finally asked if I could just have a salad with turkey on it, and they brought out a couple of fresh cookies for my kids, so I appreciated that. I would recommend putting forth a bit more effort to accommodate gluten-sensitive diners (like having gf bread), especially when you’re one of very few options people have when visiting the museum. The food was expensive and just ok, which is honestly what I expected, so no points off for that. Next time I would just walk somewhere.

This place is fast & convenient. In the world of museum food it is really good! The food is cooked fresh & pizza is hot from the oven! They sell fresh baked cookies that are warm from the pan! Yum!! You get a good meal to refuel here so you can continue playing at City Museum.

I ordered the veggie pizza and was disappointed. The veggies were almost raw and didn't taste like they'd been in the oven with the pizza. The pizza was lacking in flavor. The cheese was bland and there didn't appear to be any seasoning on it at all. The portion size was good but I felt the prices were slightly elevated for the quality served. I also didn't like that there weren't many options of toppings for those that don't eat pork. For instance, I wanted spinach but they didn't have it. I asked for oregano to sprinkle on my pizza but all they had was some Italian blend in the kitchen. Staff was pleasant, but I felt a bit rushed and I concluded it was because they are high volume. I honestly believe this place gets a lot of business because they are located in the City Museum. If I return, I would try another dish and not the pizza again.

My teenage daughter was at City Museum with a school group which had chosen to have the pizza buffet brought to the 4th floor. I called Sam at Samwiches to see if it would be possible for my daughter to order anything since she has multiple food allergies (dairy, egg, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, and a few other odd ones). Even though I called only a few hours ahead of time, Sam was able to make her a turkey bacon panini samwich. She couldn't eat all of the toppings, but she still got a good meal. She was also able to eat the Lay's chips and...the dessert! They actually carry a dessert for people with multiple allergies. It was a small brownie type dessert that they have brought in. It's pre-packaged and is clearly labeled as being free of dairy, egg, nuts, soy, wheat, and gluten. I was very pleasantly surprised as we have only found 1 other restaurant able to safely and consistently accommodate her allergies. Beyond the actual food and it being great that my daughter could actually eat a real meal instead of snacks she carries with her, Sam provided terrific service. He understands both the dangers of food allergies and the worry that they can cause. He explained that they recently started using a dairy and egg free hoagie bread and panini in order to be able to accommodate allergies. He also sent me photos of the dessert label (without me asking!) because he knows how rare it is to find a dessert and that parents worry if it really is safe. He also sent me the write up that he provided the kitchen staff so I would know that the message was being communicated clearly (again without me asking, just because he knows how nerve-wracking allergies can be). They have a grill but will wrap food for allergic customers in foil and cook it in a convection oven to avoid cross-contamination. Beyond this incredible consideration for food allergies, Sam even took my daughter's order over the phone so that it could be delivered to the 4th floor with the rest of the group's buffet food. It saved her a trip to the mezzanine and helped her feel a little less different. I also just heard from her and she gives the food an excellent rating. My family will be planning a trip to City Museum, maybe not JUST so we can eat at Samwiches, but definitely BECAUSE we can eat at Samwiches. One last thing...Sam also shared with me that his wife will be opening another restaurant in March called "1956 Utah Station". It too will be food allergy friendly along with some other great features.

Great spot inside City Museum. Kids split a Bacon Cheese Pizza and the wife and I split a turkey bacon club. I loved the Chipotle Mayo! A little pricey but expected since it's inside the museum. Wasn't expecting such quality food based on the location. Pleasant surprise!
