0 star For the love of God change out the frying oil!! Rancid!!! I questioned the meat that the reuben were made with. Looked like spam, slippery and shiny. Staff friendly but, I can't believe she said with a straight face that at people come for the reuben. Frys cold and old and Guinness was off. A little effort goes a long way. Clean your house..

I have been coming here for over 20 years and the service has gone way downhill. We tried to come again today. We stood to be seated for over 10 minutes. No one even recognized we were there. We went to try and be seated at the bar or next to the bar, the bartender was extremely rude. She could care less that we were even there or trying to Sit and eat or have a drink. It was not even close the the cleanliness they used to have. Sad because this used to be my favorite place in St. Louis!

Food was ok, service was slow and infrequent. Had to wave to get refills, got several drink orders wrong and was slow to fix them. Most of the food was lukewarm warm when it came out, salads had the wrong dressings, and wings didn’t have sauce. Definitely not representative of the google ratings I saw.

12/21/2025 Walked in with a party of 6 around 5:15pm. There was no hostess and the staff, specifically the bartender, was very rude. We waited 10-15 minutes and nobody came to seat us. We asked how long a wait, with the reply of “a bit”. There were four other groups waiting as well. I will never go back and would not recommend it to anyone.

Open tables were available. We stood waiting for a hostess for 15 minutes and no one ever came Bartender said someone wouldncome around, clearly they never did.
Waiter walked past multiple times and gave no acknowledgement.

We have been going to Seamus McDaniel's for many years. The atmosphere is like an old Irish Pub, with lots of woodwork and a comfortable feel. They always provide friendly service and the menu offers many great choices. This time my Wife and I went for a holiday kick off dinner and enjoyed our visit as always! I had a tasty cold pint of Guinness and Joan ordered one of the martini specials that she enjoyed. On the night we visited they had a lovely entertainer playing guitar and she was singing fun songs. We had a delicious house salad, followed by fish and chips (fries) and Joan had a Seamus burger. She got a broccoli side. All was very good and after another round, we finished with a couple of Irish coffees! We really love Seamus, it's been an iconic Irish Restaurant in Dogtown for 40 or so years. I highly recommend a visit to see for yourself ☘️
