This place is a classic Chinese restaurant. Decor is old school and grand (circa 1985). Food was excellent and fast. My husband was impressed with the sauces on the beef entrees. The waiter, Alan was wonderful. He told us he had 200,000 hours of experience serving! He’s eager to discuss the menu choices - just ask!

Back in the day, Sesame was one of the best Chinese restaurants around. As of Sunday, we will not be going back. The place itself is really run down. Our server looked very unhappy, was not pleasant and that perhaps getting a root canal would have been better than waiting on customers. We ordered Schezwan shrimp... this tasted NOTHING like the flavorsome, delicious, hot and spicy sauce made with red chilies, garlic, ginger, Sichuan peppers and soy sauce! In fact, it was the complete opposite and very bland... such a disappointment. I'm sorry to say I would not recommend Sesame any longer.

This restaurant is NOT good. When we first walked in the place smelled like mildew. They only serve water which I personally think is weird. Anyway we ordered and the service wasn’t bad. We got our food and it was very mid. The chicken with cashews was ok but the chicken tasted weird. The pot stickers were worse, fell apart and were very bland. So overall the service was ok but the food was bad. Will not come back.

Staff was absolutely amazing. A nice elderly gentleman helped us with everything, he poured our drinks, took multiple pictures for us and personally put our food into our boxes. Highly recommend if you like a traditional real Chinese feel.

We love Sesame! It’s one of the few restaurants on this side of the river we’ll drive from Wentzville to come eat at! Amazing food, great staff and reasonable prices
The food was absolutely delicious. There were three of us and we each had something different and shared. It was Christmas Eve night and they were extremely busy. I actually felt really bad for the lady at the desk because she was trying to do three different jobs all at once and it just became overwhelming for her, obviously. There were a lot of people waiting for a long period of time. We waited for about an hour. I'm sure some of that had to do with being short staffed. I will definitely go back again for dinner, but not on Christmas Eve!

Do not order here for Christmas Eve or Christmas! Please trust me when I tell you it is NOT worth it. I called at 11:30 AM and they said it would be ready by 6:15 PM. I got in there with a ton of other people who were waiting. After about 45 min I finally got the woman’s attention and she said she would check on my order and it was then that she brought my ticket to the kitchen and they started working on it. It took me another 20 minutes after that point to get my food. They do not care about your time at all. They just care about taking as many orders as they can to make money. Please don’t try to order, trust this review.
