Shabu Day is just one of those hidden gems. I’m not kidding when I say I drive hours home just to go here. I’ve taken all my friends, and they all love it. The food is incredible, the staff is few, but their service and responsiveness is incredible. I couldn’t give this place a better review.
I know that this restaurant is not intended to cater to vegan/vegetarian people so I am not going to take away any stars. I went there to eat as a vegan and was happy to see that they had a meat-free broth and plenty of veggies to include in your pot. I was, however, disappointed that the tofu option was only available with fish sauce. Overall, it was a fun experience and the waiter was accommodating of my dietary requests, I just wished I could have had a protein option that...
This was an Experience! My family and I were on a hunt for a ramen place. ShabuDay was our stop. They are Hot Pot, not ramen. But I am glad we stayed. It's an all you can eat hot pot. And with a family of four, you're going to be well fed. We went through two plates of Veg and three servings of meat. We all left satisfied and wondering when we would be making the trip to eat there again.
