The chef's creations are fantastic. The fusion of eclectic components into incredible flavors, so well balanced, says so much about the creativity and skills of their craft. The lobster pastry appetizer was a great example. Just the right amount of lobster, basked in in incredible blend of sauce flavors, baked in filo dough, was delicious.
The menu, and the wonderfully extensive descriptions by our server, had so many choices, it made selection a challenge. I chose the haddock, and it was like nothing I'd had before. Highly recommend.

Great place. Sean our server did an excellent job providing recommendations for wine n menu selections. Food was out standing, beet n carrot soup with the appetizer sampler fantastic. 6 of us could not have been more pleased. Ask for Sean!!!

The Caesar salad at this restaurant is among the best in St. Louis, making it a standout dish on their menu. From the moment we stepped inside, the level of service was truly remarkable. A lovely lady greeted us with a big smile, instantly setting a warm and welcoming tone for our visit.

Throughout the evening, a courteous gentleman served us with professionalism and attentiveness. His anticipation of our needs made for a smooth and satisfying dining experience.

Whether you're planning a special night out or a family dinner (we brought our 4-year-old girl), this restaurant's inviting atmosphere and exceptional service make it an ideal choice. I wholeheartedly recommend giving it a try!

I love this restaurant! The food is high quality and delicious. I never have a single thing to complain about. The desserts are always creative and unlike anything I can find anywhere else. The service is impeccable and the atmosphere is perfect for a nice dinner.

Without a doubt, one of the best restaurants in St. Louis. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the menu is always excellent. The starters are very good—I'm a fan of the tartare and lobster turnover! The pastas are always delicious. This last time, the absolute highlight was the pumpkin cheesecake dessert.

Kid-friendliness: I don't think so.

Lovely experience as always. Staff was great and the food was delicious. Looking forward to the next one. We tried the Lamb and S'more and they were both spectacular.

Great atmosphere in this cool neighborhood restaurant. Dark wood and brick with low lighting and no music made this place really charming and pleasant. I wish the food had been better. Our salads were dull and my pork shoulder was dry and tough. The veal dumplings were also just missing a touch of seasoning that would have made them better. Also the menu is really confusing. There’s entrees and a la carts items that are really no different from each other.

We made this reservation to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary with another couple. In the past the atmosphere, service and food has been great. We cannot count the number of times we have enjoyed this restaurant as a couple or for corporate dinners over the past 15 years. Unfortunately, this was not our experience on Saturday, September 14, 2024. One of the things we love are the beignets that are served warm and they are absolutely delicious! Since we were hungry we decided on a couple of appetizers which were delicious and enjoyed our salads while enjoying the beignets. While waiting for our food orders, I politely waited for our waitress to return so that we could ask for more beignets, but she didn’t return in a timely fashion. It appeared that they were not very busy at this early dinner hour. When an assistant server came over to our I table my husband asked if we could have more rolls and this young man stated that he would be right back. He returned promptly to say that our waitress states our meals would be arriving soon and that he could not bring any more rolls. If he ha stated there would be a cost I would have said totally ok, just bring the beignets. What? This has never happened in the past on any of our visits. I questioned the waitress at the end of our meal and she stated that she did not tell the assistant to not bring them and stated he must have miss understood her. I watched the communication between them when she spoke to him and I did not believe her. We normally tip our waitress 20-25% when we receive great service and at this meal I actually wanted to leave a penny, but I know that it would have affected others and not just the waitress, so I left 15%. After having a lackluster meal I was angry and very disappointed. The pork loin was dry, tough and too sweet. The ravioli was covered in corn, greasy and not flavorful. I was disappointed and was thankful that my husband and friends ordered a burger. The waitress did bring more take home beignets, but at this point we were all annoyed with the way we were treated. I had no desire to write this review because normally we love the food here, but the waitress ruined our experience for our special occassion and my meal was not what I expected. I am disappointed with our visit. I do want to thank our waitress, Mary, for our wonderful experience last Christmas season. Mary made our visit along with our delicious meal! Thanks Mary and wish you well at SLU which I am an alumni!

WOW! This place was recommended to us by some friends and what a recommendation! Such a cute little corner spot with amazing food and exceptional service. Our server was Jason and he was top notch. Highly professional and very personable with a great sense of humor. The chef is truly an artist, the flavor pairings and the presentation of the dishes is something you’d see in a foodie destination. Nothing was too heavy or too much, the serving size was perfect. We had lobster turnovers as an appetizer. The cream sauce was perfect for these light little bites. My husband ordered the beef tenderloin and I had the tuna. For dessert, we had a raspberry rhubarb sorbet and a toasted pepito and pumpkin cheesecake. I cannot say enough how utterly delicious this meal was. I highly recommend this spot and Jason if he’s available.

7 pm dinner for 3. Had to ask for bread, my entree was scallops. Pretty small portion.
Still a great place that’s stood the test of time.
