We could barely get into the store tonight because there were so many people ordering ice cream. The two female employees literally made over 15 frozen custard treats in less than five minutes. Whoever owns this shop did an amazing job hiring these employees! We highly recommend this place and don’t let a crowd scare you.

Back in 2023, my husband had vanilla ice cream at Silky’s, and ever since, he’s compared every vanilla he’s had to that one. Nothing ever quite measured up—until now!
This time, we finally got the chance to visit Silky’s again, and of course, we had to try their vanilla ice cream. And let me tell you—it was just as amazing as he remembered! The texture was incredibly smooth and creamy, with a rich, authentic vanilla flavor that stood out from the rest. It wasn’t just another vanilla; it was the vanilla.Whether you’re a vanilla lover or enjoy exploring different flavors, this place is a must-visit.
Would be great if they actually were open better hours and especially since they're supposed to be open right now and they aren't

Silky's is my favorite ice cream of all time and even after I moved to a different state, I still make trips back to STL for it. My only petty complaint is that they used to let me get a milkshake in the quart sized cup (a little excessive I know) but when I live in a different state, I need as much as I can get. Of course I could just get two larges but that isn't the point here. They said they changed management and the quart cup isn't a shake size but I have ordered it multiple times and I don't understand what the issue is. If you have a cup sitting next to the shake cups, then it's a shake size lol Bring back the quart sized cups! That is all.
P.s. the service was great, the food is amazing and the atmosphere is good as well.

Not the best night for these guys. Service was way bad. They made several orders wrong…including the grasshopper which is in their menu! Not worth the ridiculous 40min wait! Skip it! Go somewhere else.
