After some disappointing experiences with customer service in the past, I was hesitant to give Slim Chickens another chance. However, my recent visit to the St. Louis, MO location on Hampton completely turned my outlook around, all thanks to the exceptional service provided by Ms. Janell. Ms. Janell's attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine care for the customers truly made a significant impact on my dining experience. Her warm and welcoming demeanor not only made me feel valued as a customer but also restored my faith in the restaurant. Gave it a try and it was decent and staff was really friendly. Tried it again tonight and totally different! Staff was rude, rushed us in the drive thru, missed items on the order and then parked us for the missed items while our other food was handed to us and got cold. I don’t think I’ll go back.

Don't go here. Paid $30 for two chicken strip baskets and a kids chicken strip meal and you'd thought we ordered steak bc it took 40 minutes for us to get our food which was cold and they didn't give us ranch for one of our meals. We didn't even make a peep about it just sat quietly and respectfully. One we got our food, my husband went up to the counter to politely ask for our missing ranch and quickly got told by the worker " you have to pay for ranch" and he told her he did. Her response was one per meal but he told her one meal didn't get a ranch. Not sure if she was deaf or dumb but she just turned away. The name on the receipt was Keiterra G. There is no excuse for this behavior really unless there is some kind of disability but I think she was just being a stickler and exercise some control in the situation. I mean she took our order and brought it out- as if she probably didn't know she didn't put the ranch in one meal. Just don't waste your time or money here. They weren't even busy and couldn't handle getting a few chicken strip and fries right which are deep fried foods- no fancy culinary skills needed. No one was in drive thru, they weren't that busy and the few people there waited forever also. The bread was burnt to a crisp. No communication what so ever from the worker/s. A little curtesy or communication would have went a long way. Now, to wait 24 hours to make sure we don't have food poison. Store. #3705. Date of visit 3/23/24. We ain't from here and I'd rather scavenge for food out in the woods to visit this restaurant ever again. Update: fyi, based on other reviews, this place gate keeps their ranch lol be prepared if you need ranch, you're gonna have to fight them. We just weren't cut out for it. Lmao! Very good for a fast food joint. Chicken cooked fresh and very nice staff, unlike all the Popeye's in STL. Will be going back now that ChickenOut is gone and Chik-fi-la isn't open Sunday.
Drive through is fast and the food is delicious all 3 times I've been there. If you like soul food that is actually seasoned this is the place for you. Sauces blow chick fil a out of the water. Butter glazed Brioche bun comes standard on chicken sandwiches. Order taker was very nice and also very competent.Mac and cheese was a bit bland but the fries are quality. Highly recommend the cayenne ranch chicken sandwich. Tangy and a bit spicy but not overwhelming. The spinach wrap was fine, not as amazing as the sandwiches but a good lower calorie option with a generous serving of lettuce.Skip the red velvet oreo shake though... Was way paler than the picture and basically tasted like a vanilla shake.Medium meal with soda and fries was $11.11 so not crazy expensive.
