I really wanted to like this place as it's close to my house and I love to support local, but I just cant. I went twice, thinking the first time was just a bad day but second time was even worse. They're passing off roasted chicken as bbq. This chicken absolutely never touched a smoker, not a hint of smoke flavor on it. Its terribly dry and under seasoned. Sides taste canned other than the green beans which were way too saltly. Even the buttered toast tasted dry, tough and old. The folks inside are very friendly and the service is quite fast but the food is just terrible. I have no clue how theyre still in business.

Had the pulled pork dinner plate it came with 2 sides and garlic bread. Really good pulled pork. For my sides I got potato casserole and fried okra. Generous portions and the flavors were good. Only criticism is the garlic bread could have had more garlicky flavor.

They were okay, but not great by any means. I ordered their chicken plate and found the chicken to be flavorful, but WAY overcooked and dry. Sides were okay. Sorry y'all, but you can do way better in the Lou for BBQ.

So as I was walking in I was caught by the smell but the smell misguided me because my food was horrible came out super fast so I should have known something was wrong. Then I ordered rib tips and a slab of ribs. He recommended that I get the dinner because I get more meat. So of course that's what I chose and my rib tips weren't even lukewarm ribs were lukewarm. They came with no sauce on them. It was dry. Hard to chew and in my opinion disgusting and not worth $40. I would not recommend this to nobody

Was in an unfamiliar area looking to get some food. Thought BBQ was a good easy option and this showed 4 stars. How?
It might be the worst BBQ place I have ever visited.
We tried a wide range of food and it was all awful. Tasted old and disgusting. And it all tasted the same. And not in a good way.
Very disappointed and not feeling good about eating there.

The food tasteless and terrible. We tried 6 different meats. Each one was bland and taste like it came from the trash can. And the meat was most likely reheated from yesterday. And every single meat was dry. The brisket was dry and not tender. The only half decent things were the bread and the sausage. Never going there again and would not recommend.

The wings were tiny, tasteless and greasy AF. My husband didn’t even go back for seconds. Half of the order is going in the garbage. No wonder all the tables were empty during dinner time. I ordered and paid online, otherwise, I wouldn’t have even sat down. First time I’ve been there in a year and I’ve never been there when smoke wasn’t even going out front. Doubt, this place last another six months. Pity.

Order through Uber. I guess its a st.louis thing. Rib tips no taste really. If it wasn't for the sauce which was ok it would have been trash. Green beans good. Mac n cheese hard no cheesy and no taste. Ribs maybe put on the grill then heated up. From the south but but use to live up here and had way better bbq,

Ordered the barrel potato on door dash and it was delicious! Perfectly seasoned and melted in my mouth the baked beans were excellent as well Will definitely be ordering again in the future

Absolutely the best BBQ I've had in years! HANDS DOWN THE BEST BBQ! I WOULD GIVE 100 STARS IF I COULD! Portions are insane for the price! Food taste Absolutely amazing!

Really not worth your money… they are serving canned vegetables and boxed Mac n Cheese. People spend money at a restaurant to treat themselves. Not to get food they could make in 20 minutes at home.

We ordered 2 half chickens, 2 sides of green beans, and 2 sides of Mac n cheese. It was 100% Kraft mac n Cheese and canned green beans with some seasoning. This is very disappointing from a BBQ place. The chicken was cooked nicely, however, very underseasoned. The Carolina BBQ sauce was also mid. I don't like to give bad reviews, but this is unacceptable, even if business is hard right now.

Oh no. This is NOT St. Louis BBQ at all. The meat is very dry like it’s sitting in a warmer all day and NO seasonings. Very small portion sizes.
