Snarf’s Sandwiches in St. Louis delivers a consistently great bite. The bread is always fresh, the fillings are generous, and each sandwich feels like it’s made with care.
The Grand location, in particular, deserves a shoutout—the staff here is outstanding. They’re warm, welcoming, and genuinely seem to enjoy what they do. Whether it’s remembering your usual order, offering great menu suggestions, or just greeting you with a smile, they make you feel like more than just another customer. The positive energy behind the counter makes the whole experience even better.
The only thing holding me back from five stars is the menu—it could use a little updating or expansion to keep things fresh for regulars. But if you’re looking for consistently good sandwiches paired with some of the friendliest service in the city, the Grand location at Snarf’s is a winner.

Good food. Abysmal carryout. We have ordered from them at least 30 times and they get the order wrong >40% of the time. Missing sandwiches, the wrong sandwiches, sandwiches with toppings we never asked for, or toppings we explicitly asked to be removed. Avoid their online order/carryout like the PLAGUE. It’s enough to give the whole store a 1/5 stars. Would be 0 if I could. They are EXTREMELY expensive as well. It’s too costly to get it completely wrong this often. AND for them to throw up their hands and point ppl at doordash…
I get that it is a stoner-vibe kinda place, I am ok with that, but if you are too high to make even a sandwich, maybe you are getting too high at work?

Went in and ordered the Italian, the lady taking my order was pleasant and very helpful. The gentleman that constructed my sandwich did a great job with the ratios and wrapped it perfectly as to not fall apart while eating it unlike most sandwich places. The sandwich was one of the best Italians I've had.

I ordered a bunch of different sandwiches for my lab and everyone ended up stuffed and happy. The BLT, meat ball sub, and pastrami were all delicious. The combination of perfectly textured / baked bread plus high quality ingredients equals a great sandwich.
