It would be greatly appreciated if you were open when you say you'll be open. Your google, and Yelp both say 6:00am to open.

Cook needs to learn to cut a sandwich in half . The utinzels aren't good enough to cut yourself, had to leave half a sandwich because of this.

I'm never blown away with the service here. It's good at best, but it's never poor. The food is decent and the prices are reasonable. A good breakfast

This is the only classic diner, featuring barstool counter seating you will find anywhere close to the area, and it delivers exactly what you would expect - entertainment from skilled short order cooks, decent hot coffee, efficient and friendly service, and scrumptious food. What I ate: - eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, toast: (4/5) Very tasty! Crispy, hot hashbrowns. Perfectly cooked over easy eggs, decent sausage. Toast made for jam. - pancake: (4/5) hot, fluffy and just what you would expect! Check them out!

Spencer's has always been a staple when it comes to people I know coming in town for a while. It's got amazing food, I personally like the French toast for a simple but good breakfast. They have options for both lunch foods and breakfast food. Someone I know refuses to come in town and not have it before they leave. The service is almost always fantastic. the manager of the business, that I normally see there on the regular is very kind to everyone. I also love an amazing diner feel to it. it really adds amazing flare to its normally busy atmosphere. To make a long review short, anytime someone's in the area, this is a great place to go for a good breakfast!

I just relocated back to St. Louis and loved Spencer's Grill for many years! HOWEVER, when I walked in for breakfast the first time in years, I left very disappointed. 7:00AM I counted 12 patrons. and 5 waiters. Every one of the waiters where texting on their cell phones. They looked at me as I seated myself. I waited, interrupted the texting and asked for a menu. One of them handed it to me and walked away. I then asked for coffee. I waited....Interrupted the texting again and asked if I could place my order. The young man took my order and went back to texting with the other four waiters. First, they brought out my eggs and cold bacon.. Later they brough out my toast that was cold, Third, they brough out hash browns hot but uncooked. I interrupted the boys again and asked for my bill. I paid it and walked out very disappointed. Too bad, I used to love this place.

Fun atmosphere at this little cafe. Been looking for a low key breakfast cafe since moving to STL area 3 yrs ago. Other breakfast places are chains or too fancy. The service was very laid back, but eventually did what was requested in a pleasant manner. The hash browns are the bomb! The prices are reasonable. The eggs were cooked as ordered. The food was served hot, which is a big plus in my book. The scrapple was good; interesting. The sausage gravy is one of the best I’ve had in the STL region.

Love this little local diner, it brings back so many memories from my childhood. Cozy diner atmosphere and delicious comfort food. We ordered the slammer and swapped out toast for their amazing biscuits. There is usually a packed house but food always comes out super fast and cooked to

Hey, no frills - but the team is killing it on the basics! Great food, great selection, and quick service. Coffee is very good and my cup was refilled without asking. Very good

Great breakfast diner that’s been around since 1947. Got the slinger which is chili covered on top of everything else and it was great. Highly
