St. Louis Union Station Soda Fountain

We needed a place to feed our grandkids after riding the Wheel and before going to the Aquarium. We found the Soda Shop really good. We ended up ordering a variety of items from the menu and found everything to be well prepared and tasty. All of us ate everything served to us—a rarity for our 6 grandkids ranging in age from 6 to 13 and a testament to how good it was. The server was excellent—she remembered all of food and beverage orders for all 9 of us without consulting her order list or asking who got what! The food portions were large enough that we didn’t need the ice cream to fill us up, so we waited until after going to the Aquarium to get it. Ice cream portions were also generous and good. Prices were reasonable considering location, etc.

Super reasonable meal, kids loved it and my husband and the kids loved their ice cream (I didn't get ice cream). We enjoyed lemons, chocolate milk, hotdogs, chicken sandwich, burger, fries, onion rings, etc. We couldn't finish our food we were so full and our waitress, Jade, was absolutely wonderful. She was kind, attentive, and fast. Everything was accurate, fast, and yummy. We loved it!

Once we got our ice cream, it was very good. The issue was we were ignored by wait staff for 15 minutes (the place was empty!). I returned menus and we were walking out when our server showed up.

This is potentially an awesome place, but owners/management are letting it slide hard. A shame!

This place is great. Last night I had the Everything But…. Today I had the Rootbeer float. Absolutely delicious! Our server Jade V was so friendly and helpful. Can’t rate her high enough!!! Thank you!

We had a quick trip to St Louis for a birthday and decided to eat close to the activities we were doing. Im so glad we did! The food was excellent, service was amazing, and we loved the atmosphere! We would definitely visit again!
