What a great place! The kids absolutely loved the atmosphere and incredible ice cream options. The staff was so kind and kid friendly. Even the manager Rebecca came by to check on us. Everything was delicious ans served with such great personalities. Such a great family lunch place!
Was told there would be a 10 minute wait and only waited 4 mins Chelsea was our server and she went above and beyond and made our experience amazing we will definitely be back to see her again
My daughter and I absolutely enjoyed our lunch here! Not only was the food amazing, the music and our waitress was outstanding! Chelsea H doubled checked on us the whole time dinning. She was so sweet and always had a smile! I will definitely be coming back! Thank you for a great experience!♥️
It’s became tradition we come here for shakes every year and it’s always a great experience! We are so glad to see Chelsea is still there and we have been blessed two years in a row to have her as our server. She really makes our experience something to remember and my kids absolutely love her. We can’t wait to be back next year and many years to come.
Great server ms chelsey girl was a joy to be around got me my food super quick and made sure I had everything I needed 10/10 will be back next weekend!
Stopped in today with my kids and moms and had the pleasure of having Traci serve our table. She’s a professional- kind and fast and on top of it. Thanks Traci!! This place is well priced, great for kids, and clean and friendly inside. Oh and they have ice cream and milk shakes!
Very poor service, we’re seated for 30 minutes before the server greeted us, then waited over an hour just for icecream. Servers were not welcoming either. Waste of time and money
Good food, good service. Ice cream was delicious!
Out and about with the family. Nice spot once we were able to get a seat. Not a huge selection on food. But, let's be honest it's the ice-cream and shakes you go for. We did get shakes just didn't take photos. Great experience also the candy shop is cool. I purchased a couple of pounds of Jelly Beans. Too bad some of the dispensers were not working couldn't get all what I wanted.
A bunch of teen employees who don’t get in a rush for anything. The food was mediocre at best, restaurant was very unkept. Wouldn’t go back, solely based on the fact it was a 2 hour experience with half of that being waiting on our server who just stood in the back talking. Definitely needs new management to get the staff up to par.

On Dec. 5th of this past year, my daughter & I had the pleasure of riding The Polar Express for the 2nd day in a row during our Mother/daughter Christmas trip. While completely enjoying our time on the train both nights, little did we know that our night on the 5th was just about to be made even better!! After getting off of the train the night of the 5th, we walked around for a little while & since it was so cold outside, we decided to go into The Soda Fountain to warm up & check it out....I can tell you that in doing so, it completely made our night absolutely wonderful!! I say that because we were checking out the menu to see what we could have since we have both unfortunately been dealing with ongoing severe G.I. issues for getting close to 10 years now---my issues stemming from a cancer diagnosis & my daughter's starting with the fact that she is special needs & has autism. After we made our selection, we went up to the counter to place our order. This is where we were truly blessed by the brightest light in our evening & that light belongs to an incredibly sweet, kind & caring employee there named Chelsea H. Not only did she do this establishment proud by being an exemplary employee, but she truly has the sweetest, kindest & most caring heart too!! She treated my daughter & I like we were family even after only knowing us for just a few minutes!! I truly can't say enough about how wonderful she was to us & that says a lot because with my daughter having autism, it takes a really special person for her to be so receptive to someone she's only known for such a short time & Chelsea H is someone that fits that description for sure!!! Not only did we enjoy what we had, but my daughter & I having the pleasure of meeting & spending some time with Chelsea was the cherry on the top of our special treat that night!! We are really looking forward to coming back again this December & having the pleasure of seeing Chelsea H. again!!! My heartfelt thanks again to her & also to whomever made the decision to hire her!! She truly does your establishment proud & does so with a heart of gold!!! 💛💖💛💖 #StLouisUnionStationTheSodaFountain #ChelseaH #Deserves10Stars

I have come here multiple times and each time got worse than the last. The most recent time my family and I got seated in the patio area despite there being plenty of seats available in the restaurant. Not a big deal, however, there was a bird stuck in the patio area that had apparently been there a while apparent from the amount of bird droppings on the tables and chairs. The metal chairs in the patio area make a horrible loud noise anytime they are moved and they were moved multiple times to be cleaned while we were there. We waited for more than 20 mins for one milkshake and a soda and then waited again for our server to show up so we could pay. The milkshake was ok and so was the soda.

Neat looking, huge shakes, but mediocre food, smalls like fried food when you walk in.
Street parking or paid lot but I believe you can get your ticket scanned for parking.

Chelsea was so friendly & knew just how to handle our impatient 3.75 year old daughter :) She knew just what to put on our daughter’s sundae to top it off, so much so that our daughter said that Chelsea is magic! We agree :)

Waited an hour and a half to be sat, while a large booth sat empty the entire time. Was told by host that the table is for 7 people, yet other large booths had 5 people. Our party was also 5.
Half an hour for 1 milkshake and food took close to an hour for burgers and fries. Milkshake area is disgusting, employees do not wipe down or have any sense of urgency despite having close to 25 staff on at one time, just chatting between themselves. Food was tasty, a takeout counter would be a good idea. Wouldn’t recommend if you have kids or are in a rush
