Rooms smell like dogs and dog food. Bar/restaurant team seem way more into socializing and extremely inconvenienced by having a guest. One of our favorite places to stay while traveling. Not sure what happened. Hopefully just a bad day.
We have an upcoming stay surprising my 12 year old daughter for her birthday so I called the hotel to see if they could do something special, like simple decorations in the room or a small special treat for the birthday girl, I was told by hotel staff that that’s not allowed and I can bring balloons if I want. I work in hospitality and in a hotel as well, I thought for sure they would accommodate something special for us. At least a treat for her and offer to charge a fee for decor.
It says open until 10pm, but apparently at 6pm it was already closed. Not only that, there were other kids there just goofing off. Very unprofessional. I don’t recommend coming here at all.

The pollo asado tacos are the best! Everything is reasonably priced. The streets tacos require two hands and plenty of napkins. They are generous with their protein options for the tacos. There is plenty of shaded seating nearby. Highly recommend when coming out of the union station.

Food is surprisingly good and cheap however I have tried to go here 3 separate times and days with minimal luck. First time we showed up half an hour after they opened for it to be shuttered. Thought maybe someone called in or something and would try again another time. Second time we went they were open and food was decent but customer service was non existent, don't think they said one word and took an inordinate amount of time to come out. Third time we show up an hour after they opened and the person inside was still doing prep, filling bottles and getting the meat ready. Stood there for over 5 minutes, they saw me and walked past me many times with zero acknowledgement or gestures as to hang on or how long it would be. Was essentially ignored before we finally just walked away because we had no idea if it would be 5 mins or 30 before they might take our order.

There was only one person working so it took forever to get food. There is a good amount of seating but it doesn't matter if you just have to set there for 30 minutes.
The food wasn't bad though, so if they can get another employee or 2 I'd probably consider coming back to visit.

hotel light show was closed for a private function( I specifically checked the calendar,we were only in town for 2 days).Fire & light show was 3 min with no fire!
Carnitas were fantastic, skip the churro, it was cold and hard. 3 stars just because they only had one employee handling everything, not sustainable.

The Tacos were freaking awesome! My wife and I loved them and we'll be going back anytime we are in St. Louis!!
They’re never there. The be right back sign is always in the window. I went at 1115 after they open at 1100 and no one was there.
My family if 4 each had something different, each item was terrific. Unique toppings were so tasty. Man works alone but he did a great job for how busy he was.
Amazing tacos and margaritas, sitting outside enjoying the coolest atmosphere. She’s got personality for days!

It's 4th of July, like 20 people in line and they only have ONE person working there. I mean one person total, working both cashier and cook. Good food can't overcome this level of poor management.
