Topic: Disappointing Experience with Starbucks' Technology I recently visited Starbucks, hoping to enjoy a quick and efficient coffee run thanks to their mobile ordering system. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected. My order was lost in the app, leaving me waiting at the counter while others who ordered in-store received their drinks promptly. The staff seemed overwhelmed by managing both mobile and in-store orders, leading to further delays. To make matters worse, the digital menu boards were malfunctioning, displaying incorrect items and prices. This not only caused confusion but also made it difficult to decide on my order. Instead of enhancing my experience, the technology created chaos and frustration. I appreciate Starbucks' efforts to innovate, but if these issues aren't addressed, the convenience promised by their tech will continue to fall flat. I left disappointed and questioning whether I would return anytime soon.

Beware: In my memory and experience their online account creation is misleading and exploitive, and (unless I missed some small subtext to the contrary) it was dishonest in what it offered to prompt account creation and give them my data, compared to what I was able to do after doing so.

I gathered my cart, and to purchase it, it requires account creation - with extra, unnecessary required data too. I did that, because I selected an option that said I could pay for my drink with just my credit card at the end. Then, AFTER ACCOUNT CREATION, it said it wouldn't accept a card, offering instead for me to preload 25$ onto a starbucks gift card to order (my drink was just over 5$). In my perspective, they offered something to coerce my sign up and get me to give them my data, and then afterwards they changed it to something preferred to them - preloading 25$ onto a card I could only spend on them, instead of just buying my ~5$ drink with my credit card.

Don't support businesses that use technology to exploit customers like this. I am done supporting starbucks.

Positive Creations

I placed a mobile order at this location and when I got there, the employees never received my order.. There was a glitch in our system, and once I placed my order, it showed that I didn’t have enough funds to push the order through, but before I place the order I always transfer funds over. I spoke with the manager about the issue and she went ahead and had the employees make my order. I went back today just to tell them I appreciate them for taking care of the issue and I gave a tip.

I didn’t get any food but got lots of coffee and purchased some coffees. The cashier (i didn’t catch her name) was SO nice and so were the members making the coffee!

Flat out rude without cause. Employees seem to not get along with each other, resulting in half finished orders just sitting there while other orders get pushed through, even when one has used the app. Disrespectful attitudes do not lead to wanting to pay the prices for the coffee here.
