I had a shocking customer service experience at this Starbucks during Red Cup Day. I ordered a signature hot chocolate, which is clearly shown on Starbucks’ official holiday drink list.
When I asked for the red cup, the first barista immediately told me my drink “wasn’t a holiday item” and insisted I had to order “peppermint hot chocolate.” When I pointed at the store’s holiday menu, she dismissively said, “I didn’t write that menu and it’s not my job to tell you it’s not qualified.”
I pulled up the Starbucks website to show her the official list. At first, she refused to actually look at it, but after I insisted, she finally saw that signature hot chocolate is included. Instead of just giving the cup, she ran to the register and talked to another barista — as if they were guarding some extremely precious item instead of a plastic red cup.
Then I had to show the website again to the second barista before she would believe it and finally hand over the cup.
When my friend asked politely whether her caramel brûlée crème hot chocolate (also shown on their in-store holiday selection menu) qualified, the second barista replied, “What do you expect?” in a rude, condescending tone.
At this point, it wasn’t about the cup at all. It was the disrespect, attitude, and unnecessary hostility from multiple employees. I’ve never had such an unpleasant experience at a Starbucks.

Worst Starbucks I’ve been to ever. I was the only one in the store! They were Understaffed, but still had poor customer service. It takes 2 seconds to say “I’ll be right with you” Guy let me stand there for 5 minutes ignoring me before he told me to order at the register on the other end. Another five minutes standing at the register and he says just order in the app. I’m unc I don’t have the app. Most ridiculous establishment, online orders are more important than people in your face. And one of my own people nonetheless, shame on you sir. Who even writes reviews? You were so horrible, please find a better trainer, your managers have let you down thoroughly.

This Starbucks is kind of hit or miss. When the right barista is there, the drinks are some of the best I've ever had at a Starbucks. Otherwise, they're just okay.

The barista didn’t let me finish my order as she wouldn’t stop talking to her co worker, started making the drink while she was still talking, and was then irritated when I told her I wasn’t done ordering and didn’t want the drink when she said they don’t have cold foam. Some basic communication skills would be nice.

I been here 4 times and each time I order a regular hot coffee and it's neva hot...I order a coffee today and i open the lid to add sugar and the coffee spilled all ovee my hand..I wont be returning

The reason why I gave a 1 star is because they are never open on time half of the time. Ms. D is awesome her customer service exceeds normal expectations, when she is there they are open. If someone else is opening you can forget getting a coffee or anything else. The only time I have to get a coffee is in the morning before my day starts it is really frustrating when starbucks on the St Louis College of Pharmacy campus does not open on time. (This happens multiple days a week)
It’s really strange; Starbucks doesn’t seem to participate in any promotions.

Starbucks and Chick Fil A are right next door, so it was crowded and crowded. Only Starbucks packaging is recommended. STL limited edition mugs are not for sale.
The chai tea latte was really delicious.

Ordered a mocha frappuccino. What I got was some sort of milk, chocolate powder and ice concoction topped with whipped cream. I didn’t have the heart to tell the ladies it was disgusting because they were so nice. I threw it away in another building on my way back to my office. Please retrain your staff on how to make coffee drinks. Thanks!
