I used the drive through. Ordered a double steak burger with cheese meal. Got home and they gave me a single not a double. Also the burger was very cold, almost like it had been in the refrigerator. Very disappointing. I've tried to call the restaurant, but it just keeps going to VM. I will be avoiding this location in the future.

I want to like this location but management has failed the staff. Pulled up today and found out food was 30+ min out and there were no milkshakes. Turns out there was only one person working struggling to keep the place open. Not her fault at all, bad management for not having additional staff ready to fill staffing needs.

I've been a Steak N Shake lifelong customer. Visited almost everyone of them.across tbe USA. This is by far the worst one I stepped foot in. Rude lazy incompetent workers. Cold chilli. Cold hard fries. The employee told me my chilli.was hot. No steam. Luke warm. Disgusting. Dirty and nasty.

We ordered a kids meal, 2 burgers, a large cheese fry and a drink. We should have checked the brag before driving 30 minutes home - one burger had incorrect toppings, no cheese for the SMALL fry (ordered large), they randomly gave us 2 additional small fries, and didn’t give us the kids meal.
We paid cash, which is apparently a huge mistake.
When we called about the incorrect items, they stated we were out of luck because we paid cash. So my husband drove the 30 minutes back to at least get a refund for the botched order.
When he arrived, they complained that they needed to see all of the food that we received and were rude, stating they couldn’t give refunds without seeing what food was wrong/missing. Absolutely terrible customer service. Why would we not eat and bring all of the food back when we’re hungry and had been waiting for dinner?
Anyways, after fighting tooth and nail, we finally got a hot dog to remedy the situation. My toddler was crabby and hungry after not receiving his order and not wanting anything to do with our (incorrect) food. As picky toddlers are.
I do NOT recommend this location unless you’re wanting to be brushed off and treated like crap for wanting the food you paid for.
The general manager is the one who poorly handled the situation. Sad that’s the most “competent” person at the location.

It's no secret that private equity has destroyed Steak & Shake - each store is destined to fail, but only the individual franchisee will suffer. Meanwhile, the staff is so minimal, you have to take them away from their jobs so they can explain that the code for your self-serve soft drink is no longer valid because you dispensed too much cola. You must scan a QR on your receipt to unlock the machine so you can serve yourself a soda. Once. Flat soda? Too bad. Buy another one, because the machine wont dispense one. 1 soft drink, 3 chicken tenders, 2 shakes, a medium fry and a medium cheese fry: $30.30 It's almost funny how terrible this chain has become.

The best steak and shake is off of Hampton Ave in st Louis.. the food was absolutely delicious.. so good infact I had to let the workers know and complement them on how good it was on 2 different occasions.. this one is also very good but I also only had a shake so
