This is the best smash burger in STL. Never fails. I don’t think it’s a vibe to sit and hang. We always pick up or drive through. It’s made to order and you can tell. In the burger, the edges are crispy with a juicy center. Customize with toppings and get the shake. They stuck a whole Oreo on my mint Oreo shake. Not skimping on whipped cream too! Gosh I love it and hope it stays this good and alive!

Best location in St. Louis, generally friendly and helpful staff, but every time I go, I order an extra Frisco sauce, and every time without fail, I never receive an extra one... I'm not sure how to ask them to please make sure it's in there without seeming annoying. But it feels dumb getting back in line for a sauce, and yet I paid for it... Please just throw another in there if you're not sure you already did.

I went to the steak ‘n Shake store number 056 at 12:53 Hampton Ave., St. Louis, MO. I ordered my food to go and my ticket number was 548. I asked to get a cup of water with my meal and I was denied to have a cup of water Said I have to buy a bottle of water. I believe it was the manager because the cashier who checked me out was a young lady and she was very nice and she went to ask her female manager who was standing just a few feet away from the drive-through and her manager said no I can buy bottled water if I wanted to drink I thought it was so ridiculous. I would’ve paid for a cup. I was not even given the option.

Steak 'n. Shake has maintained quality of food. Unfortunately their prices are astronomically high. We got two meals and a shake and our total was almost $50. This place is supposed to be an affordable family-friendly diner. But now my wallet's completely empty. And I feel like I have heartburn and high cholesterol. One of my orders was a large fry and the other one was a small fry. My small fry had more fries than a large fry, so whatever you do do not try to upgrade your fries. Thinking you're going to get more. They'll give you either less or the same amount as the small fry. Also, the chicken tenders are a complete rip-off $7 for three tiny ass chicken tenders. The shake was good. I got the red velvet Oreo shake. Please note you get way more in the shake if you go inside. We ate half to shake and then we poured it in a to-go cup and it almost filled the entire to-go cup and it was half gone going from the glass cup to the to-go cup. Overall I was satisfied with my experience at this restaurant minus the expensive cost. I came here cuz I wanted a quick cheap meal and emphasis on cheap. And they did not deliver in that department.
On Saturdays me and my homegirl skip breakfast, then shop, then on our way back to our side of town we stop in on Steak n Shake on Hampton. This Saturday we were greeted by Ms.Kallil . She’s superior in customer service. We ate on the lot cause we didn’t need any distractions trying to chew and drive the car so we sat and watched other ppl sit and eat with us. The moment I bit down into my double with everything on it I heard a crunch! I bit down again and I heard crunch yet again! I opened my buns and saw THIS bun was TOASTED…. Like we used to get long time ago from here!!! Man, I ate slower to saver the flavor. After we finished with the crispy hot fries and the bun crunchy burger we slurped our chocolate shake till we got brain freeze! I was so happy I went inside to thank them for caring about our happiness. This is the best Steak n Shake in St.louis!
