This place is nothing like it was pre- Covid DO NOT go here for anything but shakes. The burgers tasted like crappy school food. Took a long time but still cold. Overpriced and a shell of its former glory.

I was picking up two shakes for delivery and the employees would pay no attention to me or anyone else or even acknowledge us that were waiting.
I asked the guy about the shakes but he just turned around and looked at me and then walked off. I had no way of knowing if he even had the order or if somebody else already picked it up and I was waiting for nothing.
After 10 minutes I canceled the order and left without it. I guess if they don't care about their customers then why should I?
This was the first time I attempted to pick up an order from this store in over a year because the service is so horrible. I will decline all orders in the future.

If I could give this steak n shake zero stars I would! Got a garlic steakburger and a chocolate shake. The burger was so cold even after they had me wait for it. It had so much garlic sauce oozing out before I even opened it. Its like they poured an entire container of it on the burger. The chocolate shake was absolutely terrible. It tasted like chemicals!
Worst experience. The staff prepared the meal wrong. When I took it back one of the cooks came out and argued with me that I was wrong and refused to remake. Unbelievable disrespect, work ethic, and character. I've been going there for 17yrs. It will be 17 more years before I return. Stay away until they find a new staff

It took 35 minutes to get my food via drive thru. 2 cats in front of me, one was an Already ay waiting, 1 was paying and we all waited that long. Ridiculous. 1 table seated inside.
Parking: This place is going downhill quickly. It got better for a couple months but the last 3 times is been this way. This will be my last visit here.

Had to order & tip ahead. No waitress. You pick up your meal at a counter. Burgers were cold or barely vwarm. Bring back the great old Steak 'n Shakes. Used to be our favorite restaurant. You need waitress or waiter to tell if food isn't right. You used to see & hear burgers sizzling on the grill. Is this reason some have closed? Used to go to Maplewoid location. Drove there from Clayton.

I ordered on Door dash and it took almost an hour and a half and they are 3 min from my house… I got a single garlic cheeseburger meal and a shake..: Still do not have my food but know it’s not going to be good. Also the place literally closed almost 15 min ago and I AGAIN only live 3 min away. Update it is not.
