Steak ’n Shake

This is really an observation. Every time I'm in the drive thru it takes anywhere from 5-10 min. for someone to acknowledge me in the drive-thru line. Today, 7/2/25, I had to get out of the drive-thru & leave. I understand that sometimes there are a lot of people trying to place orders. At least someone should be respectful enough to let the waiting vehicles know if staff is running into problems where orders will take longer to prepare. To say nothing they see too many cars in the drive-thru line is so disrespectful to customers. I hope they do better, but I won't be going back to that location any time soom.

the bun was very wrinkle , too bun was burned the food is trash burgers taste like it’s been sitting not fresh , the service in drive thru was ok but she forgot my small shake i wouldn’t recommend this place to no one . i ordered a butter burger i realize they didn’t give me the right sandwich and still missed the lettuce that i paid extra for the sandwich

Terribly unprofessional! I have been waiting n here for over 30 minutes.. I ordered my food at 11:43, I am still in here at 12:19. I have asked for a refund 3 times

Food was great. Service was exceptional! So friendly and helpful. Don't have one where I live. So happy to find one here in St. Louis.

Fast friendly hot good food.. the inside is now open for dine-in or carry-out you order at the kiosk yourself..

My experience was terrible I waited in here for almost 30 mins we have a employee sitting in the lobby talking on the phone driver thur line very long people not coming to the front to help and my order took almost 50 mins to come out they cooks in the back are going in and out the rest-room

Having not been to an S&S in a while the visit was different. Missed the hustle and bustle of servers and the counter seating. But, time moves on. The hostess/employee was very nice and extremely helpful. The food was consistent as I remember it.

They are very nice but they can't do your orders right with a line or you just at the drive through

Food was good but service could be a little better. However, the young man cooking did come ask if everything was ok and that was nice of him! The floors were super sticky and needed swept and mopped. Along with the bathrooms.

A hidden jewel, tucked away across the street from Central City at New Halls Ferry and 270. This is one of the best Steak N Shakes I've ever eaten it - great, hot food every time, short wait time. The staff is great, friendly and hard working. And the prices - dirt cheap by today's standards. This is my "go to" fast food restaurant.

How I have missed Steak n' Shake. Haven't been to one in years since the one on Lindbergh closed down, and now having gone to this one, it did not disappoint. Food was fresh, and delicious. Service was great, no issues whatsoever. I only wish there were more people there, the place was pretty quiet in terms of customers. This place definitely deserves a bit more love, come check this place out if you get the chance. And dine in, it'll be worth it.

Entirely too long of a wait! Close to 20 minutes in a drive thru is unacceptable.

They close and open whenever they want lol. It's 2:07 pm. And they get mad when people don't know what's going on with cones in front of the speaker just to yell out the door. WE Closed. When your website says open.
