This is one of the best coffee shops in the city. The coffee, staff, and atmosphere are all top tier. Their freshly roasted beans are great to take home for homemade espresso. They took my lattes to the next level.

Easily one of the best coffee shops in St. Louis. Sump roasts their coffee in-house and always has interesting single-origin beans. I usually grab a bag to take home or give as a gift and get a latte for myself. There is a reason this place is considered the King of coffee shops in St. Louis. Absolutely love it here.

An outstanding coffee shop. Good variety of drinks available, as well as whole bean bags of coffee for sale.

A fun place to just sit and have a coffee and pastry.

One of the best cups of coffee in the city. They know what they're doing.

Ordered a large Latte to go. Looked to be about a 12 ounce. It had no espresso flavor and it was 6.50! What a rip-off. Go to Khaldis or Starbucks. Bigger and better flavor for the money.

If you’re looking for a wildly pretentious cup of coffee that has all of the tasting notes of your dreams this is the perfect place. They care for their coffee as much as they do their customers and even if fancy single origin coffee is not your thing it’s still worth a stop.

The Vibe is a little too gloomy for me. Not a coffee shop I'd hang out. I prefer bright shops like the Blueprint on Watson or something cheery/ warming like Protagonist

All that said ...this is probably the best drip coffee in the city. I do prefer Blueprint's Penrose for my iced latte.

This is a must stop if you are in StL looking for coffee.

For food....grab an Empanada from Coffeestamp about 1 mile away.

On Juneteenth (June 19, 2025), I witnessed blatant discrimination at this café. Two respectful Black teens sat quietly for over an hour without being offered service or even acknowledged. Instead of treating them like customers, the owner kicked them out—after admitting no one had ever asked if they wanted to purchase anything.
The kids were well-behaved, broke no rules, and were humiliated solely because of their race. On Juneteenth of all days.
I cannot support a business that practices such racism and disrespect toward Black youth. I encourage others to consider carefully before spending money here.

Coffee was great and the atmosphere was amazing. They even made an “iced latte” (milk with vanilla) for our toddler. :)
