The chicken is incredible , crispy, juicy and just the right amount of heat.I would also recommend the poutine. Our server was great he gave us recommendations and was on top of everything.Overall a great experience at a good price, its definitely our new go to fried chicken spot.

Food is fantastic and quality is consistent. It’s hard to choose a favorite dish,, but I have to say I am partial to their shrimp and grits. A great atmosphere and we always feel like we are appreciated by everyone from the hostess, to the wait staff and the manager.

The food is nice but overpriced. It's just chicken after all. More importantly, there are frequently missing items when I place online orders. There is also a strange correlation between the amount of tip you give and the chances of a missing item...the lower the tip, the more likely that an item will be missing.

I just visited Sunday Best tonight and will not be returning!! The location is in the CWE and while speaking with other patrons discovered that SB is formerly Junipers. The good: great location and nice vibe of the place. There’s a bar immediately when you walk in and seating to the left. The place had a nice crowd but we were still seated immediately. We ordered the chicken sandwich which comes with fries, the 1/2 chicken original, and roasted beets. Now believe me when I say the chicken sandwich was very good. The dill of the pickles slices (I love a pickle) with the smoky mayo, and chicken were a great combo. The fries were hot, with a nice crisp (I also love a crisp). The chicken also had a nice crunch but it’s going to be a no. In my opinion it lacked flavor and my breast seemed surprisingly dry, almost where it seems like older cooked meat, but I’m in no way saying I think their serving old meat, but I just got a bad one. The server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu however, at two separate times we asked for something and then had to remind her. Remember, I thought the chicken lacked flavor? Well I asked for some hot sauce and literally 3-5 minutes later she returns and asks what she was supposed to bring again. I also asked for additional mayo. This is why I won’t be returning to the restaurant. The server brings me the additional mayo, which as you can imagine is in a small plastic ramekin. We use a small amount because it is after mayo and didn’t need much more. Well imagine my surprise when I’m brought the check and there is a charge of $1 for the mayo. I’ve eaten and many many places over many many years and have never in my life been charged for mayo. I ask the server about the charge and she’s responds that they charge for all of their sauces. Now this ramekin of mayo looked and tasted like regular mayo and that’s honestly what I thought it was and even mentioned to the other party, “I thought she would bring the smoky mayo but maybe she thought I meant regular.” I asked the server about my mayo and she told me that it was the smoky mayo. My recommendation was that they should advise customers that there is a charge for mayo when additional mayo is requested because I think it’s extremely poor customer service to charge a customer for a condiment, but not make them aware of it before hand. I even mentioned it to the manager after I paid the bill and left a tip that I was very disappointed in that type of experience, and that customers should be informed of additional charges like that. The manager was extremely cavalier in his response, and while he wasn’t rude, he definitely presented a ‘I don’t care attitude.” The fact that I was charged for condiment, and not made aware of the charge beforehand really does not sit right with me. Coupled with the fact that management didn’t seem concerned about my dining experience are the reasons that I will not return to Sunday Best.

My partner had dinner here recently and loved absolutely every aspect of our experience. Hands down the best fried chicken in STL, the environment is cozy, the staff is very kind and clearly love working there and we had some of the best cocktails I’ve had in a long time. Fav items were the friend chicken and the smoked catfish dip ✨

I’ve been here before and the fried chicken is so incredible. This time I came in for the chicken and waffles. PLEASE keep that on the menu. I really enjoyed the dish. Classic but innovative at the same time. The flavors work so well together. The fish sauce caramel and gochuchang were just fantastic!! I’m a home chef/food lover and this is the kind of dish I keep talking about to others and get inspiration from in my own home cooking. I dont think I’d be able to recreate it though! Hats off! Also the restaurant is beautiful and the staff is super friendly! :)

One of the best chicken sandwiches of my life. It’s basically an elevated Chick-fil-A sandwich with so much more flavor and depth. They stack a good amount of chicken in the sandwich. The hot oil is so flavorful and complex. I’d recommend getting the hot oil on the side so you can make it as hot as you want and have some to dunk the fries into. The fries were my favorite side with the perfect amount of seasoning and the sauce adds more flavor. The collard greens were lacking some flavor and the Mac and cheese was nothing special. The beet salad was light and refreshing. The wait staff is super friendly. They have a good amount of seating and there’s plenty of street parking around the area. Overall this place is definitely worth checking out. I’ll be dreaming about the chicken sandwich until I return.
