Sushi KOI is my favorite dine-in sushi in St. Louis. The space is small and intimate--perfect for a friend date or romantic date--so don't be surprised if you have to cozy up at the counter. You order all your sushi at once on a checklist and they bring it all out on a beautiful, humongous platter. Be forewarned, the portions are huge (especially for the price!)--the sashimi pieces are 2-3x bigger than what you typically get. The roll options are plentiful, diverse, and delicious and the appetizers are also great - we recently tried the tuna tartare and loved it!

BEST SUSHI IN TOWN ( that won't break your bank)!! Sushi Koi has been my go-to for years. Sashimi always fresh and buttery. Every roles are delicious. The shop is a bit small and can be challenging for groups but staff are very accommodating and friendly. My recommendation: Uni, salmon, and toro are bussin, rainbow roll, and fujiyama roll!!

My boyfriend and I are from out of town and had a craving for sushi. Sushi Koi ended up being close by and had good reviews so we thought we'd give it a try. And we're very glad we did. The waitress and hostess were very sweet and accommodating from the moment we walked in. The food came out in a very timely manner and it was so good. We are partial to the maki rolls and their entire selection sounded so good that we had a hard time selecting which to get. We ended up getting 4 rolls: the Alaskan roll, the fried California, the dynamite and the hamachi garlic ponzu roll. Beautiful presentation and very delicious. The fish was fresh and flavorful. It was a very cute/cozy atmosphere as well. Not many tables but that kind of added to the cozy environment in my opinion. The only thing that was a bit off was the big screen tv on with the basketball game on. No one was watching it and it didn't really fit in with the ambiance but I'm not going to fault them for that because again we were very happy with our visit and will definitely be returning next time we are in town!

Reservations are best for this place since it's so small, but boy is it worth it. Best takoyaki I've had, unreal gyoza, incredible yakitori.... The sushi is also huge. You get a great amount for the cost. Get the eel nigiri!
Let me tell you what. Everything, and I mean everything, about our experience here was DELIGHTFUL. Called ahead on a Saturday night and got a table reserved last minute. The service was SO FRIENDLY. Our waitress was a literal angel on this earth. The food was INCREDIBLE!!! Sushi is some of the best I’ve ever had — such freshness and so high quality. I’m so sad I don’t live in the area because I’d go here so often they’d be trying to get rid of me. Truly exceptional.
Probably the best in St Louis, certainly in the CWE.

My fiancé and I went here for date night dinner on 1/23/24 and we were pleasantly surprised with how delicious our meal was. We were in town for the night and did a quick search for sushi and this place did not disappoint! We got the salmon nigiri as an appetizer and that was very tender and delicious. We got four rolls: Hamachi Garlic Ponzu Roll, Dragon Roll, Euclid Roll, and Crazy Roll. Every roll was so fresh and carefully curated with their individual tastes. The Hamachi Garlic Ponzu Roll was very bright and flavorful- we loved the toasted garlic on top! Our favorite was probably the Euclid roll- we loved that the spicy tuna wasn't ground up! We also usually get spicy mayo as a side to dip our rolls in; we honestly didn't even use much of it as there was plenty of different sauces on the plate. The restaurant in itself is pretty small, I believe only around 7 booth areas, so I'm sure you'd have to call ahead for larger groups. Our waitress was on point!!! She was so responsive and attentive to our needs, whether it be a water refill or asking if we needed anything. Highly recommend this establishment!

Go here. This was my 3rd time and it is PHENOMENAL. Quaint yet very cool comfortable vibe. I’ve gone in my sweats every time. Most important the food is delicious. Creative. Slight twist with beautiful presentation. Whitney the chef and owner just knocks it out of the park. A sight little twist on every piece of nigiri. Attention to taste and presentation. Large pieces where the flavor just really comes through and worth the time to savor. Service is the best most genuine and attentive you’ll get. They want you to have an experience. Each piece and or dish is going to be a little experience in itself and if you appreciate food and the entire experience you’ll be smiling when you leave. Can’t say enough good things.. 10 out of 5 every time. Prices are good especially for what you get but I’ve splurged every time so my bill doesn’t reflect what yours would be this was a treat so I went all in and will again every chance I get. They know their customers. They’ll remember you, it’s personal and just a really wonderful experience and reprieve. What a treat.Parking: Free parking after 7 before that I simply scanned the barcode and paid 2.50 for an hour and it was just right
