Absolutely Amazing & worth the trip from NC just to eat there. You're treated like family & especially fed like you're a part of the family.

It was okay, I got fried chicken and it was EVERYTHING! The two sides I got were macaroni and cheese, and yams. I wasn't the biggest fan of those, but the chicken superseded those sides. Everyone working there was nice and welcoming!

Magnificent food, every time!

Still overall good but something was missing in a couple of the dishes. I'm routing for them to get it together and protect the legacy they have built. Family drama aside I've always been a fan of the food. Meatloaf, Mac n cheese, cabbage, yams, smothered anything, and the peach cobbler are stand outs.

Good food. Home cooking prolly won't ever visit again. Food is very rich in texture and taste. For myself, I knw I can't eat like this all the time. It was good. I would have gave a 5 star review but the covid messed up my experience as you call in your order and they bring them out.

I hope this is the correct location. It says sweetie pies so here is my review. I've come a time or few. Ive not been wowed yet. Its ok nothing to actually get excited about. They dish out tons of food yeah. But the flavor is extra low to mild. I hate going to get food and you left feeling like pass the pepper. Pass the salt. Can you pass the hot sauce. Because its flavor less. And its cold. Look, if my food is cold why did I go out to eat if I have to reheat once I get home. Some places you try to support but it just does not work out because your tired of the constant mistakes. Cold hard food is not my thing. I hate to get home and discover my food is incorrect. You ordered a 3 piece white just to find its a 3 piece dark. They get 2 stars from me. Im over all annoyed & unhappy.

They are closed on West Florissant! The Sign is gone so I guess it's Permanent! I decided to drive by and see for myself if they were open. Looks like they have been closed for a while.

This was by for the most horrible soul food restaurant that I have ever been to in my life! I literally paid $10.00 for two (1oz) side items that were fresh out of a can. $18.00 for a Salisbury steak dinner and it only came with ONE (1oz) steak. I was mortified! And I don’t even know these people. There was so much chatter surrounded it, I just knew that this was going to be a great experience. Not even remotely close!I will never, ever eat at this restaurant again! The staff was very unfriendly and was being very difficult. I even told them that their service was less than stellar and their reply was that “you have an opinion, it’s only one” So, here it is! I came all the way from Houston, Texas because a person that I knew recommended that I visit this establishment. I was truly let down. There is no way I can make this up. Please do not waste your time, or money.

I'm sorry I don't have a photo- I ate everything too fast to stop and take one! This is my first time in St.Louis, so we wanted to try something the city is known for, and my mom mentioned Sweetie Pies. We love soul food, so I was excited to give it a shot. It's lunch line style, and you do wait in line for quite a while before you get to the counter. They have four entrees every day and then a few that change daily. I got the meatloaf with two sides, mac n cheese and mashed potatoes. The staff was super friendly and sweet, and they clearly have a following since there was a line the entire time we were eating. The food was very good, and the proportions were generous. That being said, it was $67 for three meals, which did feel pricier. I know they've been featured on a few TV shows, and that probably leads to the more expensive meals. I'm glad we went, but I'd hesitate to spend $20+ a person again.

Overpriced and not the cleanest restaurant. My mother and I visited from NY this past summer. The food delicious to my standards, my mom swears that they didn't use real cheese (American cheese) in their Mac n cheese, regardless it tasted great. Also the peach cobbler is divine.
