Amazing! Best fried chicken that didn't come out of my grandma's skillet. The sides are tasty and generous. Now that I've been here, I'll go out of my way to eat here when I'm in town.

Everyone loves a little southern cooking. My family, friends, and I search out the best place to go when we travel. While in St. Louis for a convention someone suggested Sweetie Pies. I went there in 2019 and it was great. I bragged about the food all the way there. Everyone had high expectations and their taste buds were ready for some good food. However, things had truly changed. If there was sand around I would have turned into an ostrich and buried my head. The place looked run down, the food was awful, cold, not tasty, and the staff was mean. I am sure Ms. Montgomery would not be pleased, or perhaps she has stopped caring. I plan to revisit in 2023 when I return to St. Louis for a Convention, Just to see if she cares, I hope she does.

Sweetie Pie's was so delicious. Loved the Soul Food cuisine. I had the Fried Chicken wings and Mac n cheese, dressing, and collard green. It was absolutely delightful.

It is what it is! It's Baked Turkey Wing, Dressing, Candied Yams and Dinner Roll from Sweetie Pie's in St. Louis, MO. Not my cup of tea for flavor or ambience, but atleast I can say I've visited this iconic restaurant (once & only).

Thus was a wonderful dining experience and I appreciated the good customer service during the post pendamic period i.e. short staffing. Our truck driver nephew was visiting, and I knew he would love eating a good soul food meal. The peach cobbler was the best.

Vegetarian options: You can order individual side items from the vegetable selections.

Wheelchair accessibility: There were some spaces left when we got there.

We came from Houston to visit this restaurant. The establishment was amazing. The service was awesome! George was our server and he was absolutely amazing! The food was incredible I wanted to order everything on the menu ! This reminds me of meals I ate growing up from my grandma, mom and aunts ! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting St. Louis ❤️❤️????

Let's get into it!I came to this spot back in the day on a business trip and added pictures but not a review. We saw this place on Guy's show and decided to come check them out. Very much a cafeteria style experience. Not much made to order. Which was interesting. However, if they have as much foot traffic as I would assume I guess nothing would sit for to long. The place was also very dark. Not sure why that was because we went in the day time. Parking and finding the entrance was also a bit challenging. As you can see in the photo not very much lighting going on. Overall the majority of the food we got was good. Just not as hyped as it was on TV. They only regret I had was the meatloaf and the cornbread.Overall just a nice place to say you've been to. As I understand it now is under new management by family members.

It looks like a long line outside, they're just controlling the amount of people their letting in!! Food is delicious like always, they need help only 1 cook on a sunday but he was doing a good job!! All the food is award winning hands down!! Well worth the wait!!

We were pleasantly surprised at how clean the establishment was. The food was kind of bland but nothing a little salt and hot sauce couldn't cure. The most important thing to me was the food wasn't heavy and greasy and the portions were just right. The staff was great and the owner actually fixed our plates and was nice enough to take photos with our party, that was cool of her. If I had a negative thing to say it would be; provide veterans with a discount on there meal. All in all awesome experience and I would recommend this soul food restaurant to others. Lastly, I see why Sweetie Pies have had the success and longevity it has (excellent service and food)!

The food was great. I had rib tips and was very pleased with the portion. Great mac and cheese, as always. And good cabbage with corn bread. My favorite is still pear cobbler. I'd never had it before coming here. Better than the peach, IMHO

The food was good. Portions were generous. The workers were great. The area where the restaurant is located needs urban renewal. The City of St. Louis should do something about the parking meters. The pay station was broken and the angled parking was directed away from on going traffic on a two way street. Not being from the area we did the best we could.

Saw this place on DDD. We went there for lunch and got the chicken wings with some sides. It is generous portions and quite tasty. I liked everything I had but I think I got a bit too hyped for the Mac and cheese. While I am glad I came here, I’m not sure I would go out of my way unless I had a craving. I did quite like the corn, much better than the Mac and cheese.

Arrived around 11am Friday.... Place was virtually empty walked right in and ordered the Piccadilly style food. We all got fried chicken(it was ok...not HOT not well seasoned but doable)Baked Mac was a 7 out of 10. Cheesy, decent taste, good texture.Greens were good. Not too salty. No meat in them tho.Spaghetti meatsauce. Husband said was a 7 of 10. Lacking seasoning.Peach cobbler was perfect and hot!All in all it was pricey for the quality. ..Bucket list ✔️Will we return idk ??‍♀️

Here for a graduation and stopped by for lunch. Let's just say that I was UNDERWHELMED.CABBAGE- overcookedSWAI- made fresh, hot, crunch, very cooked(old tartar sauce and hot sauce on the table)Mac n cheese was yummy but a little too much VelveetaBanana Pudding - not good at all, the cookies taste like off brand cookiesThe restaurant need an update/uplift. The restaurant was very empty. And the guy at the front taking temps had a smart mouth because I asked a question and I've never been here. It's 12.11.21 and they are still taking temperatures. Not a place I would try again.
