Location is okay there are a few bars and restaurants in walking distance. Rooms are small but clean and the bed was comfortable.

Absolute nightmare. Booked two rooms here. When I showed up to check in. They said they overbooked the hotel and they have no available rooms. Had to book a new room at Marriott around the corner where they went over and above.

Hotel indigo staff said and I quote “booking here sometimes you get a room sometimes you don’t, there’s nothing we can do”

Will never book/stay here again.

Between the bed and the wall there was about two feet of space. There are no rooms at all with bathtubs in the building. Our room was freezing and the weather outside matched. There’s no fridge, safe, or microwave in the room. They also do not have cribs available for families with small children. We had paid for breakfast included through IHG membership booking. When we went down for breakfast the waitress asked my husband what he’d like did not acknowledge me or our two children so the four of us shared one water because she could not be bothered took our order from about six feet away and treated us like the plague. None of us were sick in any manner. My husband ordered our boys hashbrowns and fruit to share and we had plenty on our plates to divide between them as well. She forgot the fruit cups. There was another party who came down emptied the coffee carafes and then left the restaurant. It was all over sub par experience which for a family who stays in IHG hotels often specifically Hotel Indigo at the crossroads in KC and love the staff and hospitality there it was disappointing. The staff member checking us in just did not seem to care at all.
Parking is terrible. While the location is close to the arch it is not walkable during winter months.

Nice small hotel. Close to the Arch. Everything was good. Staff was friendly, rooms cleaned. The only thing was the design of the actual shower, such a different concept of doors closing and it didn't seal all the way so the water was leaking onto my room floor. No biggie, just irritating.

Rooms were smaller than expected but still nice. Friendly staff.

Worst experience of my life. Front desk is completely incompetent and rude. Horrible hotel and people, NEVER consider saying here. Horrible experience in every way.

This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Hands down. Horrible location no parking and horrible for dogs. No fridge in the rooms. The list is endless.

Willie down at breakfast was amazing. He turned around our lackluster experience with his kindness and conversation at breakfast. Would come back for Willie.

Terrible experience even before checking in! The receptionist was unbelievably rude and completely unwilling to solve a problem that I’ve never encountered in ANY other IHG hotel! Her answer?! “This is St. Louis, that’s how we do it here…” The result: reservation canceled and goodbye forever!

Parking is rough at this hotel. The AC/Heater is controlled by a central unit. I’ve never been to a hotel that doesn’t let you control your own temperature. I don’t recommend this hotel

The rooms are good but the front door is broken so lack of security in downtown is alarming

I don’t usually leave reviews, but my experience at Hotel Indigo in downtown St. Louis was so upsetting I feel like others need to be warned.

After a 5-hour drive through storms and an active tornado warning I arrived around 4 PM, a full hour after check-in time, simply hoping to rest for a moment before a concert and a romantic weekend with my husband. Instead, I was met with immediate coldness and dismissiveness.

What stood out the most and honestly hurt the most was the blatant difference in how I was treated compared to other guests. As I stood at the counter, exhausted and calm, I watched the front desk woman light up with warmth and friendliness toward every guest of color. She greeted them with genuine smiles, gentle tones, and helpful explanations—even when their rooms weren’t ready either. She made sure they felt welcome.

Meanwhile, I was barely acknowledged. No smile. No apology. No kindness. When I quietly asked about my room, she talked over me, got louder than necessary, and treated me like I was causing a problem when all I wanted was the room I paid for.

It wasn’t just disappointing, it was infuriating. We were on a tight schedule, and instead of having a smooth check-in and a moment to breathe, we were left standing there frustrated and praying we’d even have enough time to get ready for the concert. The tone, the body language, the selective hospitality it was all painfully obvious.

This was meant to be a special weekend after nearly a year of marriage, and the experience started with anxiety and stress instead of joy.

Do better, Hotel Indigo. Hospitality should be fair and consistent for every guest, every time.
