I’m visiting St. Louis and felt hungry for tacos while driving around. Came to this place and was not disappointed. I ordered chips and salsa, fish tempura tacos, and the spicy margmorita… someone please tell me why were these the best fish tacos and margarita I ever had? Never would have expected that from a Midwest Mexican restaurant. Service was fantastic. Atmosphere had music and chill vibes. Will be recommending!
Edit: I saw that others had to order from an app and didn’t have good service. Maybe they saw the review and changed things because that was not the case for me.

Very good food with several items that can be made vegan on request. I had the summer squash tacos and it was delicious. The salsas are also very nice and different from other Mexican restaurants. Nice place to go with colleagues and friends who may have different dietary preferences and needs.
Vegetarian options: Tacos and salads have vegetarian options

One of the few places open in St. Louis in that after lunch, before dinner time. The happy hour menu was very small, but very good.

We visited Taqueria Morita in Central West End/Cortex for lunch on a Saturday. And sat on the covered patio. The hours stated they didn’t open until 1 (which is a little odd). We ordered the chips and salsa, which was great! My wife had the Barbacoa Mushroom tacos and I ordered the chicken quesadilla. We both enjoyed the meals and I would argue the quesadilla was the best I’ve eaten! The also have several margaritas and cocktails. My wife enjoyed her Paloma while I ordered the MargMorita. I wasn’t impressed with mine as it was a little watery but at least it didn’t taste like a pre-made mix. The servers were very attentive and they have options to order/pay via your phone. Overall it was an enjoyable lunch and we would recommend trying it.

We went to Taqueria Morita with a group of 8 and got seated indoors around 3:45 since it was super sunny outside. The waiter gave us paper menus for happy hour without any explanation. We later found an online QR code menu hidden on the napkin box (I attached a picture below). We were confused because no one explained what was going on. When we scanned the QR code, all we got was the beverages menu since it was time-sensitive on Toast. Turns out they only serve a limited happy hour menu and no tacos until 5:00 PM, which was a bummer.
Half of us were really hungry, so we ordered from the happy hour menu while the rest of us waited until 5:00 to order tacos. Here's what we had:
- Potato & Rajas Taquitos: 8/10 - the platter was nicely organized and vegetarian-friendly.
- Quesadilla Gringa: 7.6/10 - a bit oily but not too bad.
- Carne Asada Tacos: 8.2/10 - the meat was juicy and the seasoning was on point.
Now, about the service... It was a slow afternoon with maybe three tables in the whole restaurant. Our waiter kept disappearing for long periods and seemed rushed or unhappy when she did show up. We noticed she was also the bartender, which was confusing since there were multiple waiters on the floor. Not sure why the service was so bad.
On the bright side, the atmosphere was great—good music, bright and colorful decor, and very clean. Overall, we'd go back, but hopefully, the service improves next time!

No waiter required. You order from an electronic menu, and all the food comes out very quickly. I have criticisms of both dishes that we ordered, which may not reflect the overall menu. The broccolini had way too much lime on it, which overwhelmed the other flavors. The quesadilla had way too much garlic, which overwhelmed the other flavors. So, to summarize, a little spice is good, but too much ruins the dish. Also, the beer on tap was not cold.

Unfortunately our excitement for this place was quelled down quite bit after the first 5 minutes of arrival. Extremely inexperienced service staff. No menus. No explanation. Very disorganized service delivery.
While the food was decent, the lack of service was a horrific experience. We will not return.

Being from Texas, we would have expected to have Caso with the chips...No Caso...shocking...the Taco were good..the prices were good..but the Guacamolle is premixed. We asked for no onions...and we still got onions. So the atmosphere is nice, great staff...

We had a lovely time sitting on the patio. The tacos are so yummy! Service I gave 4 stars because it is sort of serve yourself. You use an app and place your own order, pay through the app. The staff that were there were very nice, but we ran out of water twice.

Wow!! Food was amazing!! Ordered their carne asada tacos and they were so yummy!!! I got their special the lengua tacos and omg I want more!! Drinks on point. I like how they have you order your drinks and food with a QR code. Got seated on the patio and it was such a nice night to be out there. Will be back for their lunch.
