We had already gone for a brunch, but the dinner was much better! The place was very beautiful, the staff was very nice, and the menu was full of good options! A highlight was the hummus appetizer and the dessert, peach pudding. They were fantastic. The dishes were all very well-presented and flavorful. The waiter who served us was extremely friendly and attentive. We loved the experience and want to go back to try other options!

Our first visit to the bellwether was as its name implies exemplified by excellent food, from a hamburger with fries to tagliatelle pasta to beef tartare to prosciutto with burrata and finally beef tartare. It was nice to have American French and Italian foods to choose from, all of it well prepared and presented. Sunset views greeted us from the deck as we were leaving.

My friend and I were really looking forward to trying this place, but overall, we left pretty underwhelmed. The fries had good flavor but weren’t hot or crispy...just kind of lukewarm. Same with the mussels: great flavor, but they were barely warm and really small. A bit more broth and a little less salt would’ve made a big difference.
We also tried the beef tartare, but the texture was off and it didn’t have much flavor. We actually had to send it back which we never do but it wasnt edible. The Caesar salad was also lacking because the dressing didn’t have much taste. The mixed greens salad was much better but very vinegary.
For $15 each, the salads were on the small side. We had planned to stay for dinner, but ended up going somewhere else to finish our meal. There were a few highlights, but overall the food just didn’t hit the mark for us.
Had my birthday dinner at the Bellwether and they made me feel so special. Fabulous food, drinks and service in a lovely space! Everyone at our table had a different entree and drink and EVERY ONE of them were delicious! A special recommendation from our vegan family member, the Okabe was amazing! Special touches like a b-day card with appetizer to their sister restaurant, Polite Society, B-day dessert and offer to take our family photo were both unexpected kind surprises. We will be back soon!

Excellent service and atmosphere. The food was disappointing. The steak was extremely overcooked, which most restaurants get grace as they don’t cut it before serving but they slice it for you at Bellwether. I ordered medium rare and there was no pink at all. Also ordered the peach bread pudding desert, which was overly dense, too much sauce and just generally not good. T
