Worst stay at a hotel in 20 years. No housekeeping on a 5 day trip - unacceptable. No accommodation either - just awful. Why do I have status with Marriott? Coming home from a 14 hour work day, the last thing you want is a messy room with no clean towels.
This is my second time that I have stayed at The Courtyard by Marriot, and I really enjoyed it. I love that, as a Disabled person, I received a room on the first floor. They have a really spacious lobby and eating area as well as an in-hotel-restaurant that is essentially Starbucks, but it IS nice to have that as an option. The room was big, and clean with lots of space to sleep and work. The only thing I would say is that I wish the hotel market had more options. Like some frozen pre-made meals or ice cream.
We parked to check in at 8pm and saw a bus unloading. Dreaded what was waiting for us inside. Maybe they had someone handling the entire group? We walked right up to check in. Super smooth check in and they took the time to show us where our room was on a map and where to park etc. She said they were sold out with other soccer teams, a hockey team and a family event. You would never know. The hotel was quiet, parking was no problem. Our room walked out to the courtyard. That's where it's at! We met friends in the courtyard for snacks and drinks. Can't believe no one else was out there. It was perfect place to unwind, it was a beautiful night, kids were safe in the room if they wanted to relax in front of the TV. We were in town for a soccer tournament so only at the hotel for 12 hours. Didn't have any breakfast or coffee, or really see much daylight. If we have another soccer tournament in Creve Coeur, this is where we're staying.
So, this hotel is off the beaten path, and while that's good, it can also be bad. The place was fairly deserted while we were there. It was not noisy. We tried the "grab and go" breakfast, which was all high carb stuff (pop tarts, muffins, fruit, granola bars) and so we only did that once. The laundry was closed because the one machine they had was broken and it had to be replaced, and they didn't want to do it during the pandemic. Translation: they are hurting in this economy. Thanks Mr. Biden. The Pool was closed. The bed was very hard, and neither I nor my wife slept well. All in all, I think next time we'll go back to the Drury Inn.
We are Sitting in bed listening to people screaming and loud music. Asked front desk to assist and nothing. Walls are beyond thin. Don’t stay here or hope for decent people next door. Front desk is no help.
Pros: Clean, comfortable guest room; Good location close to highway, restaurants, and shopping; excellent nightly rates. Cons: Hallways and rooms are a little dark. Note: I typically enjoy hotel pools and hot tubs while traveling but the pandemic necessitated these being closed during my visit, therefore I cannot comment. This is an older property- true to its name with an actual "Courtyard" nestled in the middle of the U-shaped building. Despite its age it is well-maintained and extremely clean. The hallways and rooms are a little dark (indicative of older Courtyard decor) but the furniture is more functional than what's being installed in new and remodeled properties. For example, the couch is actually comfortable for reading and watching TV, and the work desk has a low, expandable pull-out section useful for laptops. Creve Couer appears to be a nicer section of the St. Louis suburbs, if the plethora of luxury car dealerships are an appropriate indicator. Within walking distance are Aldi and Dierberg's grocery stores representing both ends of the spectrum. Other restaurants and shops are equally close, as is the I-270 interchange. The airport is about 20 minutes away; the heart of St. Louis is a few minutes further. There's nothing exceptional about this Courtyard but my stay left me struggling to find any legitimate complaints. The fact that rooms can be had for outrageously reasonable prices make it a very compelling option while in the area.
Had a two night stay here while in town for a funeral. The check in went excellent. The staff was friendly and even corrected my name on the reservation. (that was painful to do on the phone) the explanation of how to reach our room was very clear and easy to follow. Our room was clean but quite basic. We were disappointed that there was no microwave for a popcorn snack at late night. (The lobby was 3 floors down and across the property from our room. Who wants to get out of comfort time to trek that far) We had a great view from our room but no chairs or a table on our balcony to enjoy it with a bottle of wine. The pool was a nice temperature and easy to get into. The hot tub was just that a hot tub...whirlpool jets? It actually felt like the pool was circulating water faster than when the "jets" were on in the whirlpool. The courtyard looked nice and on warmer days I'm sure it is enjoyable. Our group was able to relax in the lower lobby area on the first evening but on the second evening a group in the upper bar/bistro was loud and rude. Staff did nothing to change that even after we mentioned it. Maybe since they were buying the $6+ regularly and we were just reminiscing. Elevator was a bit sketchy at times. Noisy, jerky, jumpy. Overall considering the reason for our stay...these things were minor. Had this been a vacation...we would have talked to staff much more.
It's okay
Overnight in St Louis for friends medical procedure at Barnes West. Easy check in and room on first floor adjacent to the Coutryard. Would have been beautiful in the spring or summer but nice even in January. Small "restaurant" with limited menu but very adequate for evening light dinner and drink. We had to check out before breakfast so we can't comment on that, but 24 hr desk personl was very helpful and very efficient check out. The room was large and clean. Room rate was very reasonable, especially for a Marriott. Will definitelytry to stay there again.
Hotel staff had lousy attitudes. Lumpy bed. Exorbitant fees for water and coffee. Very limited food service and no coffee available before seven in the morning. Not business friendly at all! Don’t waste your time staying here-you’ll regret it!

The hotel room and the bar was decent, the snacks and drinks at the bar were even reasonably priced. The pool area, however, needing a lot of updates. There were spots in a few of the walls that were completely chipped and needing patched. Kind of surprised us.
We've stayed here a couple times. The hotel is comfortable and makes you feel at home. The Courtyard is so nice with seating and firepit areas. The pool area is great with plenty of space and a nice location with view of yard. The lobby area is also relaxing with couch/TV areas for visiting with others and several tables and the bar too. Rooms were good. The complimentary buffet for our team was just so-so but could order at restaurant if wanting to purchase. Parking and the location was kind of odd, but we walked over to a nice restaurant (Cracked Red) one night.
Excellent motel; clean, bright, comfortable, courteous staff. This Courtyard is a larger size but we'll designed. The breakfast was excellent, delicious, super service but pricey. I felt the room was pricey as well. The pool and hot tub area was great.
This was the most expensive motel we stayed at on our trip, but the best we stayed at. Bed was comfortable. Nice and clean. Plenty of lights. The guest laundry was free, so I didn't have to spend my quarters. The wifi was nice and fast. If I'm ever in the St. Louis area again, I will try to stay here.
Beds are too soft and their sprinkler system coated my car with super hard water that a car wash could not take off.
